I am following the instructions on http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=166933 to the letter, and yet I get this error:

Execution of 'rc.exe -fo"Final Release\CvGameCoreDLL.res" CvGameCoreDLL.rc' in 'C:\Program Files\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword\CvGameCoreDLL' failed.

I have only changed the max civs setting, so what am I doing wrong? Is it a different procedure for BtS? Thanks,

Remove the files CvGameCoreDLL.rc and resource.h from the project. Won't break anything and problably much easier than fixing the problem.

I do not believe this, but that seems to have worked.
