ChinaBlue Aug 25, 2007, 10:20 AM Excellent. Very interesting interview, even though I'm not a ffh player (yet). The music intermezzo not annoying as in the previous potcast and I actually had to laugh out loud at some points. Like when the dutch guy (wouter?) tries to pronounce some word that he wants to know how to pronounce or that moment he realizes he's saying something kind about ffh just because Kael is present  And when the wife calls in...nice touch :D

Very interesting interview
:)

[insert :relief: smilie here]
I appreciate your noting this. Acting on the feedback on the intermezzos from last episode was very much a conscious decision of mine; in addition to reducing their volume, I shortened the voiceover period on them (and in some cases their total length period).
and I actually had to laugh out loud at some points.

Yes, you got the name name right. :yup:
And when the wife calls in...nice touch :D
:D
Kudos to her for calling in... when I first checked the show's voicemail and saw what turned out to be that message, I thought it was probably a wrong number (based on past experience ).
Kael Aug 25, 2007, 01:43 PM My wife rarely misses an opportunity to give me a hard time (most of the time I deserve it). ;)

drekmonger Aug 25, 2007, 05:13 PM Very decent.
Kael makes for a good interview subject.
brainpan Aug 25, 2007, 05:43 PM I gave episode 23 an excellent (8 of 10) rating. It has a radio morning show style that made it fun to listen to--I liked the playful bantor, and laughed along with most the joking--and it also managed to be informative at the same time! On the first listen, I thought the Dutch guy was trying to be funny--he was, even if unintentionally--with the accent.
As an uber-fan of Fall from Heaven, it was a delight to hear about the behind-the-scene workings of Kael and his band of twelve helpful elves. It was also interesting to hear of the circumstances which lead to the creation of the mod in the first place. Thank God for Dungeons and Dragons, Kael's interest in it, and for his temporary banishment to England!
My interest in the PolyCasts itself has definitely been piqued, but I would like to hear more from Kael (and his gang) if it is possible.
.SinClaire. Aug 25, 2007, 07:22 PM yeah, that was my very first time to listen to polycast as well...so Dan you gots yourself another faithful listener, :D couldn't help but laugh with you guys, good stuff
Grunthex Aug 25, 2007, 08:43 PM This was my first Polycast - I enjoyed it thoroughly. I'm sure a lot of that was due to my interest in the subject matter, but it was still well put together and highly entertaining.
I'll even be looking through the polycast archives to see if there are any others that might entertain me, and will probably at least keep an eye to see what you do in the future.

Kael is welcome to return and interested in returning, so he is on the show's guest co-host rotational. :)

TheJopa Aug 26, 2007, 05:13 AM I also gave it 10 but it's my first time listening. I already commented it in FfH board but I was cracking out four or five times loudly (and it was 2 A.M. so I think it woke up everyone)
:goodjob:

Hopefully it will not be your last. :) You don't need to wait for the next episode either... we have an archive of 20+ episodes available (not to mention extras).

I dont know if Dan kept it in the interview or not (the real interview was about 2-3 hours, Dan did an excellent job of editing it down to a reasonable amount of time while still keeping all the important stuff), but at one point in the interview I said "Grakl's going to be so disappointed that this is how his question was answered".
