Well there's war weariness for war, giving unhappy faces. But yeah, that the people should hate you for defying meddling foreigners and their crazy demands makes very little sense a lot of the time.

If it appears in just some cities that means that you have been hit with the spy action Foment Unhappiness.

You get the modifier when you choose to Defy Resolution on giving a city back. I think you only get unhappiness for this one.

You chose Never! for an AP Resolution

so every city with the AP religion has a bunch of people considering you a villian.

yeah i defied to stop trading with ethiopia, who have always been nice to me. so thanks for the help. guessing it was that. still very severe that happnes in almost all my cities with a +5 unhappiness :O

I think the messages are a lil different though. Defying a resolution gets a meassage saying "the world considers you a villian" and the forment unhappiness gets a message saying something like "we have been told of your villinaous ways" I cant rem the EXACT quotes of top of mny head but they are a lil bit differnt I think.

I had the same issue. It seem to be only the cities that have the religion that founded the AP. My question now is will it ever go away and how high can it get if I defy more resolutions?
