My first try at a modular unit: The Inquisitor

extracted from Gods of Old, he is now here for anyone to use in the epic game

to use, you must extract the inquisitor folder into your [Mods/"Mod Name"/Assets/Modular/Custom Units] folder and extract the python files to [Mods/"Mod Name"/Assets] folder,

It needed to use the CvMainScreen.py and I had already replaced the original with the "Main Screen Mod" so instead of using a new one, I combined it with the mod

well...I'm trying to figure out how...:blush:

EDIT: found out how but I also found a bug, the inquisitor won't get rid of the religion

This is an awkward predicament but...

I can't get the "religious persecution" button to work!!!!

Ugh!!! I got it so far as for it to look right and all the text is there and the button...but I can't get it to do the one thing it was ment for, removing religion!!! :cry: I've checked all the python files and added a few things, but it still refuses to get rid of the religion. I think there may be more to it to get it to work outside of "Gods of Old"; what that is however, I'm clueless:( . I'm guessing I'm missing a python file/files, missing a code in one of the existing files, or there might be some SDK work to do. :sad: I think at this point I'm going to need some help...

I think I will make it an invisible unit, It's not too hard to change and it would make it a bit more realistic

As for the unit graphics; I'll get to that once I or someone else fixes the above problem

Also, I can't get it to remove religion from rival cities; this problem can wait though

Why on earth should it be possible to use an inquisitor on a rival city?

If anything, the inquisition should be a temporary building, that adds unhappiness and has a chance to remove a non state religion each turn.

At last we can kick the #($es of missionaries of religions we dont want to see in our empire! domino, download DDSconverter, its a very useful programm for those who want to create units;) Then you can donload Nifscope and nifviewer with Rabbit Whites tutorials, I can tell you where you can get them :goodjob:

I would like to add removing religions to Great Prophets as well.

Like the one i made for my mod, This unit doesn't WORK!!! :mad: :mad:

I tried to make a inquisitor unit for bts but i fail cause i had the same problem that is in this mod: NO REMOVE RELIGION BUTTON!!! :mad: :mad:

PROBABLY THE BUTTON NEED TO BE TAKE FROM OTHER PLACES...

Are 4 months that i'm waiting to put in my mods this UNIT!!! :mad: :mad:

I think I have it figured out for the most part. Since it requires python files, it can't be modular. Now I just have to go through the python files and figure out which gods of old parts aren't related to the inquisitor. I'll continue to work on it.

I believe it can be, since like in the 1st post he is putting the python files in the original python folder? Its the same as sound files(or is that diplomacy files) for modular also.:rolleyes:
But as far as not working, i dont have a clue?

I guess it could work that way. (side not: one shouldn't make a module that changes python files without a disclaimer.)

Right now I do have a working mod for the inquisitor, I just have to clean it up some more.

ahaah i didnt mean original original python, files, silly:p , i meant the files that was taken from GoO python files to be placed in the NEW python folder for the new civ/mod.:rolleyes:
