how do i go about taking a warlords/vanilla map and converting it to BTS?


You need to uncheck 'Hide extensions for known file types' under Windows Explorer -> Tools -> Folder Options. This should then allow to change 'WorldBuilderSaveFile' to 'CIVWARLORDSWBSAVE' for warlords
or CivBeyondSwordWBSave to BtS,

Just make sure you go back and place the check back, then apply.

seriously? changing the extension is all that is needed?
