View Full Version : internet modding? Industrymaster Sep 07, 2007, 04:53 PM Is it possible to create a MOD with other people over the internet?:hmm: :salute: thomas.berubeg Sep 07, 2007, 04:54 PM most mods that are created by teams are by people who have no idea who the others really are, with members spanning the globe. So, yes, it's possible :p Darque Sep 07, 2007, 04:58 PM Is there any other way to do it? I never created a mod before with people locally. Industrymaster Sep 07, 2007, 05:49 PM How? :wow: :yup: :splat: (I just love the fish thing!!) Seras Sep 09, 2007, 09:27 AM your question is a bit vague and hard to answer...but what i'm guessing you are asking about is called version control software http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Revision_control it lets everyone work from the same files so as to prevent branching between two modders. Industrymaster Sep 09, 2007, 03:51 PM What I mean is, how do connect over the internet to mod with people?:thanx: thomas.berubeg Sep 09, 2007, 05:16 PM just ask to join a team, start to crate a mod, anything, really. Seras Sep 09, 2007, 06:36 PM ah..yeah...just start a thread with your mod idea and ppl interested in helping out will contact you.....or find a pre-existing mod project that you want to help out on and msg the main mod with your ideas/skills you were able to start this thread and post in it...that's all you need to get in touch with other modders |
