When ever I click on a "Unit Replaces" or "Replaced By" link in the Civilopedia my game crashes. Could this be caused by the latest patch?

:yup: there is now about a gazillion threads on this here ;) the 3.03 patch caused a couple of bugs this is one of them. The new patch 3.13 is due out any time now (Firaxis announced its completion last friday).

Actually they didn't test it at all I suspect - it should not have contained an< code changes to the game, just the most recent DirectX9c update from Microsoft and a few installer fixes for Windows Vista. But it seems whoever compiled the release messed it up...
