View Full Version : Not for The PSP? Yorkshire_14 Sep 21, 2007, 01:39 PM They should atleast make it for the PSP aswell. DS is good but PSP would be better. Abaddon Sep 21, 2007, 01:40 PM Nope, PSP version got canned so they would have time for the Wii version. Yorkshire_14 Sep 21, 2007, 01:42 PM What about PS2 aswell? Abaddon Sep 21, 2007, 01:42 PM Nope :( PS3,360,Wii and DS only. Yorkshire_14 Sep 21, 2007, 01:47 PM Damn it!!! Moff Jerjerrod Sep 21, 2007, 02:45 PM Well don't give up all hope. If Revolutions does well on the release day platforms , Firaxis may decide to go ahead and make one for the PSP. Although I have both the DS and the PSP I think I'd prefer to play Revolutions on my PSP rather than the DS. Yorkshire_14 Sep 21, 2007, 02:52 PM I also have a DS & PSP. Thanks for responding to the forum ! Abaddon Sep 21, 2007, 02:58 PM The Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Nintendo DS versions of Civilization Revolution are currently planned for release next spring, while the Wii iteration will follow in the fall. As the Wii version was not originally planned, it will take Firaxis a few more months to get it out to retail, as everything is being done in-house and Meier is directly involved with the development across all platforms. Stretching their talent across four releases (along with other, non-Revolution projects) meant that a potential PSP version had to be passed over, though Caudill admits to being a huge fan of the handheld. there we go Yorkshire_14 Sep 21, 2007, 02:59 PM Only time will tell, I guess SG-17 Sep 22, 2007, 10:39 AM Well they didn't rule it out after they finished the other versions, since the Wii is fall '08 instead of spring. Abaddon Sep 22, 2007, 12:11 PM True, if it sells really well.. who knows Yorkshire_14 Sep 22, 2007, 01:03 PM Like i said before, only time will tell. carmen510 Sep 24, 2007, 03:37 PM Dude, why did you make two separate threads of the same topic? -.- Yorkshire_14 Sep 25, 2007, 10:07 AM Because I Did, Fool! bokaj Sep 26, 2007, 02:37 PM Wow, now I am really glad that I bought a DS instead of a PSP :D Nintendo ftw! Yorkshire_14 Sep 27, 2007, 08:57 AM Lucky for u and me LOL! Aneurism Oct 22, 2007, 01:27 PM Well don't give up all hope. Although I have both the DS and the PSP I think I'd prefer to play Revolutions on my PSP rather than the DS. I have both as well and I was about to sell my DS, I am pretty dissapointed they are not putting this on the PSP. Lucky The Fox Oct 22, 2007, 09:19 PM I have both as well and I was about to sell my DS, I am pretty dissapointed they are not putting this on the PSP. Why on earth would you do that? PSP's limited game library has made it little more than a glorified paperweight. Civfan333 Oct 25, 2007, 02:22 PM Yeah i don't really like the PSP. My friend bought one and it broke in the same year he got it.:( Yorkshire_14 Oct 27, 2007, 02:20 PM so did my friends PSP, LOL Mesix Nov 01, 2007, 07:14 AM Nope :( PS3,360,Wii and DS only. If they can make it for Wii and DS, they should also make it for the PS3 and PSP. The only platform that I would buy this game on is the PSP. Sorry Firaxis, you can't count on my money if you fail to support the preferred mobile platform of choice for people over 10 years old. civdude 95 Jan 21, 2008, 01:46 PM If they can make it for Wii and DS, they should also make it for the PS3 and PSP. PSP ALL THE WAY! ps. now my ds is in the trash:D Aneurism Jan 24, 2008, 10:43 AM Why on earth would you do that? PSP's limited game library has made it little more than a glorified paperweight. Well I own both, and for me it is the DS that is more often a paperweight. Generally I preferer Nintendo to Sony as well for consoles... so its not a fanboy thing. hossam Jan 26, 2008, 01:50 AM the ds is great for this game because of the touch screen which the psp does not have. wally4ever Jan 28, 2008, 12:16 PM I'm not particularly fond of the Nintendo DS... it has a couple decent games, but nothing to really write home about... but this is the type of game that will be absolutely perfect for it. T.A JONES Jan 29, 2008, 09:03 AM Of two, which peice is of greater technolgy> that should be the one to decide it. Its the into to civ on handheld. They need a shining example of performance at this time If the DS is a weaker chipset then they don't give a crap about anyhing like that and are out to throw a peice of crap with the civ name out in the most crowded marketlace in hopes of rippin to fetch the best buck However I sat the screen shots nad they looker very crisp Very good. Yet I saw the screen screen shots of civ4 on the back of my civ3 manual thought the same thing and that was another stor wally4ever Jan 29, 2008, 09:22 AM The PSP is a stronger piece of hardware. That's obvious. At the same time though, civilization can be transitioned better onto the DS, and will almost definitely make a better game. It probably won't look as good, no, but it will be a better game. If given a choice between playing the better game with the easier system to navigate, and playing a prettier game that's a convoluted mess, I'll take the better game. T.A JONES Jan 29, 2008, 12:23 PM Cool you could translate that? Thanks man. I havn't followed the portable scene since I bought an Atari Lynx. Man that was awesome tech.:old: IT had the largest screen and speakers. It was a big behomoth basicly but it felt cool when you brought it school. Kinda like bringing a chainsaw to a garden clipper party! You outdo the guy sportin the gamegear at the lunch table almost to excess  Still unless you lucked out with some low key title that turned out classic, Game gear and Game boy had it all. I shouldn't say all. civdude 95 Feb 04, 2008, 01:32 PM i hope it comes to psp p.s im not a psp fanboy |
