Yay, Soul Calibur 4 is coming out in 2008! For those of you unaquantid (I think that's the intelligentosity word for not familiar with) with the Soul series, its a fighting game with weapons! The story revolves around a demon sword called Soul Edge (which is my avatar) and the spirit sword used to counter it called Soul Calibur. Soul Calibur 4 will be the 5th installment in the Soul Series, with Soul Edge actually being the first one.

Astaroth (Yay, he's one of my favorite people... err golem thing! Has a giant axe)
Cassandra (Has a sword and shield)
Hilde (A new character, with a short sword and spear)
Ivy (Ech, my least fav character. Uses a snake sword... thing)
Mitsurugi (Not my least fav, but he's down there. Has a katana (samurai sword for those of you unfamiliar))
Nightmare ( One of my other fav chars. Uses Soul Edge)
Raphael (My ultimate favorite character. Uses a rapier)
Siegfried ( Another of my favorite characters. Uses Soul Calibur, now in the form of a zweihander)
Sophitia (Uses a sword and shield. Older sister of Cassandra)
Taki (Uses kunai)
Tira (Weird. Uses a ring sword thing)
Voldo (My second favorite character. Uses katars (Similar to claws) and can do weird stuff wit his body like roll around.)

I've played Soul Calibur II for Gamecube, it was fun. I've never really been into this kind of game though.

Soul Caliber is pretty cool (the series), but it's really only good, imo, as a party game with lots of people. And even then, I'll take Halo or Smash Bros. or Madden. It's well designed, but I think there are other fighting games just about as good out there (Virtua Fighter series comes to mind).
