I recently moved from Vanilla to BTS and am really struggling. Would love someone to play from the start and let me see what I could do better / different.
So here is the CHALLENGE;)
Start from 4000BC and make a better go of it than I seem able to. The game is on standard settings with
Fractal Map
Prince Level
I have had several goes and despite different approaches (e.g. early axe rush, beelining for the UU, building economy early etc.) I always seen to end up fighting two wars at the same time with an economy that is not up to it:confused:
Please play that start and then do something along the lines of the following - it would really help me learn!
Post 3-4 saves that cover the 4000BC to ~1000AD timeframe
Describe the main strategy / approach taken
Indicate who were friends and who were enemies
Layout the timing and opposition for key wars
Write the tech path for the first 10 techs
I know the thing I need to improve on most is warmongering and believe me with these opponents you need to be good at it...
Looking forward to seeing someone kick the AI's butt!
