View Full Version : Beyond the sword is the last EP!- evidence!
troyDoogle7 Oct 06, 2007, 06:31 AM Guys and Gals, it looks like a pretty big hint that BTS is the last EP for the civ4 series.
It seems that there is a Civ4 :Complete being released for christmas

IMHO Complete = No more packs
Soneji Oct 06, 2007, 06:39 AM Well one hmmmm no more expantions. And the doubt over another PC platform civ title.
And 18 quid! God I'd have been best waiting for that to come out! :p
obliterate Oct 06, 2007, 06:44 AM 17.99 pounds.<expletive> I paid $220. :gripe:
Worth every cent though.
Soneji Oct 06, 2007, 06:57 AM Scenarios are clearly the expense here!
:o
ButSam Oct 06, 2007, 08:05 AM Not too surprising; Civ3 also had 2 expansions. I also think we are to the point where BtS may get one final patch; everyone, put in your bugs now in the Bug Report forum!
Sam
troyDoogle7 Oct 06, 2007, 08:14 AM Sad to say that complete is probably an understatement!
We want our throne rooms!!
(and Smac 2 please!)
LemonJello Oct 06, 2007, 08:16 AM I can live with just 2 expansions, as long as there are still patches for later bugs.
Now, bring on Colonization II!
TheLastOne36 Oct 06, 2007, 08:30 AM I'm fine as long as they put Poland in Civ 5 ;)
bonafide11 Oct 06, 2007, 10:43 AM Can't say I'm surprised.
Blaarg Oct 06, 2007, 12:31 PM The game feels complete
Gaius Octavius Oct 06, 2007, 01:08 PM Of course BtS is the last expansion. Just about everybody realized that from the beginning, save a few hopefuls. Seasnake will be disappointed, though.
aberwak Oct 06, 2007, 02:39 PM With as much as they put into BTS, it's not surprising. I think if they put in much more, it might add "too much" to the game and would start to be confusing... maybe. Plus, with the amount of bugs from BTS, I don't think anyother expansion pack would be feasible.
Shadondriel Oct 06, 2007, 03:33 PM Actually, I really like the way CivIV has evolved. I could have never dreamed of such a game when CivIII was out. Really nice game :goodjob:
Let's just hope CivV gets even better. I cannot imagine how, but you know, Sid is above Deity :p
It has always been like this:
Civ2: Holy Moley! Nice tile graphics and nice units and wonder movies omg hax
Civ3: WHAT? Sid is back? OMG OMG nice game. I sure can remember playing until the sun came out and I had to go to work. When I got back I played some more.... well... I slept for 2 days after that
Civ4: Baba Yetu and the intro was enough to get me started. And the game itself.... NICE!! I was crazy as hell, I just couldn't wait to the release.
Civ5: That's gotta be it, I'm so gonna die
