Where are Technology Quotes located? I have tried looking everywhere on the forum to find an answer, didn't see it (maybe I missed it but I tried a search and checked Tutorials subforum index).

Would like to add quotes to the techs I am adding...

They're found in the XML texts (you need to search a bit). Adding them is done similarly and then you use the tag in the XML of the tech.

When you learn a tech, the tech popup has tech info including a quote from some person of history which leonard nimoy narrates. If your adding techs to a mod, you can put in your own quote.

Good luck getting leonard to voice it for you, though.

Here's a shortcut: Write the Tech quote you want right into the TechInfo xml for that technology. I believe the spot for it is located near the bottom.

You can also remove the Leonard Nimoy voice from it.

Actually Sid Meier himself does the quotes for the the new BTS quoes.

That's because Firaxis had trouble getting Leonard to do them.;)

The XML files are in Assets/XML/Text/*.XML
There are a few different files because of BtS and Warlords adding new ones.

So I got Final Jeopardy correct this evening...category was B.C. literature...we had to identify the work which contained a given quote...something about defeated warriors going to war first and then seeking victory while victorious warriors seek victory first and then go to war ;)
