Like jwbjerke I've a little problem with the latest BtS patch:

I am running BtS 3.13 under Vista 32 bit. When starting the game, I get an error about "invalid voice device" and something about sound capture being disable due to device issue. According to device manager all my drivers are loaded. I don't use voice capture - I just want to not have to click through 3 error dialog boxes just to play the game.

Does someone know one fix to disable the voice device test in a BtS config file or something??

Open up the BTS ini file. You will see an option
EnableVoice = 1
change it to
EnableVoice = 0
and microphones are completely deactivated in BTS and therefore no more error will occur.

I've had the same problem as the original poster. I think this error should only be reported once and when starting a MP game with speech chat.
