Hello there (my first post at CivFanatics after years of lurking, so please be kind)!

I own Civ 4 and BtS, both in the European DVD version. I downloaded the new patch 3.13 from Firaxis twice, once directly from their website, once via the in-game installer. Both times, the installation process worked properly, but no changes took place in the game:
The "About this Build"-dialogue still says it's version 3.03, and none of the supposed changes are to be found in the Civilopedia (I tried to find the Blitz promo for naval units like the Privateer, the increase of the Customs House bonus to 100% and the reduced gain from corporation headquarters - none of them were changed).

I uninstalled the game (Civ4 and Beyond the Sword) and tried again, but to no avail - still, the updates don't work.

Did anyone have similar problems and if yes, how did You solve it?

Do you have the game installed in a non-default location by any chance? There are reports that the patch might copy the files to the wrong directory if that is the case...
