Well England should win the game and I hope they do. Anyway I will only be able to see the first half of the game because I have a Business Studies exam at 9 o'clock. If only they could have arranged it so that our exams didn't clash with England games

Sorry to hear about the exam though. Football matches like that should be declared national holidays or hours.

Nobody works or studies in Brazil during our World Cup matches [dance] (at least in my city).

Well, the game ended tied, no goals scored.

I knew that England should pay attention against Nigeria, or they would be in for a surprise.

Luckly enought, Argentina and Sweden also tied, so England will go on.

Although Englands performance wasn't exactly top, apart from the first ten minutes Nigeria never really looked like scoring and several England 'nearlies' would've put us in front.

Of particular note, and *see* these if you, can Scholes' cracking shot where there 19 y-o Goalie performance magic to slap to the post and Sinclair's beuaty which somehow rolled along the cross-bar and out.

England are through ! :D

In the end the exam started at 9:30 instead so that we could watch the game but no one had told me...Great to see England through, although it would have been nice if we had scored a goal.

The Nigerian strikers never looking particulary dangerous despite some very interesting Nigerian build-up play to give themselves opportunities to shoot.

I was surprised the English sat back so much...orders from Sven I suppose ;)

I thought it was pretty dull game really - especially when the Sweden goal was announced - I was just waiting for the whistle after that.

Wish ITV had shown the Argentina - Sweden game at the same time - I imagine that was a much better game to watch.

The thing is though, most people would rather watch the England game as it could have become very interesting.

Well we were lucky then that they did end up posponing the exam, although we did only have about 20 people taking the exam.

That game made me cry it was soooooooooo boring. Generally I am excited to see NIgeria play, as the bring a lot of flash to the game. They are very young though, and their passing is not what it was in 98. Too much interior passing when the outsides were open. They will be a force in 2006 I bet.

England looked great against Argentina, but in this match they appeared to be in the mode of "play for a tie." Very boring and disappointing match.

England looks great on defense though, and Beckham has incredible power and touch on all his shots and passes. He is a joy to watch.

Not to say England doesn't have a great offense, but they just weren't taking any chances that match. They played it close to the vest and still had some real good opportunities. It was a game that both teams played not to lose, hence boring.
