I moved recently and a new friend of mine plays Neverwinter Nights. He says it has good multiplayer with combat similiar to KOTOR.

Would any of you recommend it? Is it worth me buying?

I think it's worth it, but check if he has the expansion packs or not, if you intend to play online with him.

I have NeverWinter Nights 2, but I can't play it until I get a better graphics card.

I had a friend who plays it and says it's a lot of fun; a polished game.

Get Baldur's Gate 2, it's similar, and while I havn't played NWN, other people have said it is a lot better (at least in single player, apparently NWN added singleplayer partway through developement when they weren't allowed to make it multi only or something like that).

I enjoyed playing the Neverwinter Nights 2 campaign with a friend, but I've never played it single-player. Given that it must be reduced in price by now, I would recommend it for at least a try.

I tried both NWNs. Didn't like any of them. NWN1 was a bit more fun than 2. It didn't seem much like KOTOR tho ... I got bored to death quite quicly with NWN2 - with NWN1 i managed to play till i got out of the city.
Anyway - i've heard that NWN2 is much more fun in multi than in single. I guess you should try it if it's cheap. :)

The campaign in nwn is bad, but that's not why you ARE going to buy it. It' because of all the fantastic mods. NWN2 has a much better campaign but not as many mods yet.

Didn't like the singleplayer NWN 1, never tried it online, which, apparently, is it's good point.

Same here...
But I've often heard the multiplayer is well worth it.
