Hi all,
I'm trying to play Civ IV on my dell Laptop (Latitude D620). I use the 1.74 patch, and have no mods installed.
After I start the game, it all runs smoothly, but after a while it starts slowing down. (I tried all graphic settings, high, medium, low, etc. but this doesnt make a difference). When I look at the processes eating my CPU I see that the 'system' process is taking a lot of processor time, all other things are normall. I tried shutting down unnecessary services etc to minimize interference, but this also didn't help.
When I minimize the application for some time, and then get back to it, it all runs a bit quicker again.
I suspect the problem to be originating from my video card (GeForce GO 7300). Is there anyone else who has had this problem, and knows about a sollution ?
Regards
Jan
Specs of my laptop:
Dell Lattitude D620
Dualcore 2.16 Ghz CPU
2 Gb Ram
60 GB harddisk
GeForce Go 7300
DirectX version 9 installed
