I upgraded to 3.13 and my screen flickers and locks up then releases or sometimes crashes.

Vanilla Civ4 1.74 runs fine. Anybody else having trouble?

does it always do it or just when doing certain things - like displaying a video or whatever?

It does it at the main game interface. Not sure about videos. Haven't seen any since I patched.

have you tried lowering your graphics settings? what card do you have?

7600GT. I have tried and no luck. It only started after the patch and regular Civ4 doesn't have any trouble.

I will have to try to uninstall/install the game again and try it at different patch levels and see what happens.

Looks like it is just patch 3.13 that is unplayable for me. Anybody have any suggestions?

What version of nvidia drivers does everybody else use?

I haven't had any luck with totally removing Civ4. The screen still will freeze and then unlock and I get flickers. Other graphic intense games give me no trouble.
