Hi! I've recently purchased Civ4 from here: http://www.steampowered.com/v/index.php?area=package&SubId=392&cc=IL

I have Windows XP, ATi Radeon x1550, Directx 10, and I'm over the minimum system requests. I don't know if it matters but my DVD reader is also a burner.

anyway, when i try to install the game, it gets to a certain point and then says the following:

"Initialize Renderer failed. Check DirectX Installation, Latest Graphics Drivers and Graphics Settings Parameters:

-width = 1024
-height = 768
-flags = 0xc
-hwnd = 0x1b03d0
-adaptrid= 0
deviceid = 3

Error:Creation Failed: Invalid 3D device Type"

I have installed the latest DirectX, and updated my Graphics Driver.
When I tryed to install Civ4 updates (152, 1.61) it says it doesn't detect Civ4 on my computer.

What should I do?

thanks, but i switched video cards and it worked. =]
