Hey I had just overcome a series of hard drive failiure problems and finally was able to play Civ IV again. Although this should probably be the least ofmy problems, in the title screen the buttons for "advanced" and "custom scenario" have a "txt_key _main_menu_" in front. Do you guys know if this is something I can fix myself in the xml files? Thanks!

Pretty much most of the text in the game has "txt_key_main_menu" in front, like the game settings in a new game. Once a game does load (green bar finishes) the game crashes/closes without explanation.

The error message said something abou the xml/text/CIV4GameText_Misc1.xml file, but I don't know how/where to fix the brackets.
Error Message:
LoadXML call faile dfor xml\xml \text\civ4gametext_misc1.xml
Current XML file is : xml\text\civ4gametext\civilopedia_techs.xml

Okay I was actually able to solve half the problem on my own. In my misc1 file there was a part of the French/Italian Descp that kept reading NULNULNUL for a few pages that deleted. Now all my labels seem to be correct. Hurray!

However, the game STILL crashes whenever I start a new game (load screen finishes), and I guess this would be the real problem...

Also this is only a problem on BtS, since I loaded a game of Vanilla Civ normally. I think this might be a patch problem, and I have heard of similar issues in this thread. If anyone can give me a point in the right direction though, I'd appreciate it.
