For shame! Such simple game concepts escape me, and I've only been playing civ games since civ 2 came out years and years ago. :crazyeye:
After figuring out that I cant build corperations with the merchantile civic, (thx to whomever cleared that up for me, i forget who it was). I'm back with an equally silly problem that I'm sure has a far to simple solution.

There's a little axe button in the top left. After Nationalism, though, you can't hire mercenaries.

Thanks Thonnas. I knew it was something really simple.

Although it doesn't work for many of us.

It doesn't work for others because when they hover at the mercenaries' button, the game crashes in the desktop.

And they forgot about shortcut.

Shortcut huh.................. What button?

[ALT]+[M] I think.

Alt M huh.............. makes sense!

It works just fine here, once I actually saw that little axe button that is.
