The marines in BtS seem to have Kalashnikov rifles, but didn't they used to have Thompson submachine guns?

I think the marine model has always had AK rifles.

No, the paratroopers weren't in the original - were they? I can hardly remember what the game was like before the expansions, can't imagine going back - though I do miss the title screen + baba yetu.

There are a few redux of marines and paratroopers these days. Perhaps you have those in the back of your head? ;)

You can pick from four title screens (including Baba Yetu) in Options. I use the original myself...
