Saturday Denmark is playing England in Niigata, Japan. Who do you think will win the match? I know this poll wont be fair, because of all the English people visiting this forum. All of them will vote England all though they know Denmark has the best team!

Just look at the results so far in the WC:
Denmark won their group and scored 5 goals (beat France, Uruguay...) :goodjob:
England finished second in their group after Sweden, only scored 2 goals and was not even capeable of winning vs. Nigeria.

I admit England is dangerous if they get freekicks/corners, because of Beckham and some good heading players like Campbell, but Denmark will avoid this situation. :crazyeye:

So, who will win? My vote goes to Denmark :p , but I guess I'm not neutral.

Denmark had an easier group, therefore they scored more goals and played more offensive football. It would have been fun to see how Argentina would have pressed back Denmark like they did to england and sweden. It's a little sad that argentina didn't go through. :( but they had to make way for sweden and england. England has the swedish Sven Göran Eriksson, so they may actually have a chance to go somewhere in this tournament. :) I vote for england, even though denmark football is more enjoyable to watch.

Go Denmark go! :D

England will win in regular time, but I have a horrible feeling about this going to penalties :(

Denmark's group was easy, thanks to France's negligence. Tomasson is looking dangerous, but the whole of the England team have picked up their game and as long as the woodwork doesn't continue to get in the way we'll be playing Brazil.

Na-na-nah! Na-na-nah! Na-na-nah-na-na-nah-na-nah!

:D

England came through the 'group of death' - widely regarded as toughest group with no weak teams. They conceded 1 goal in three games. They have a very tough defense - Rio outstanding.

Always dangerous at set pieces and can play well on break.

They have lot of experience now - most of their players play in Champions League and are used to tough games at this level.

They can win playing badly which is what you need to do.

Denmark wont have any adavtages over England in adapting to climate.

Most of the Danish players can't make it in England's Premier League - ask Newcastle supporters!

I predict 1-0 to England after a very dull game.

England did not need to win against Nigeria and thats a nice excuse for why they drew 0-0. Well it makes sense that the game will be quite dull and so I predict the score will be 1-0 to England.

Typical brits. Allways voting for their own team....

Well I didn't vote for England to win the world cup on some of the polls but we have got to expect to win against Denmark or else we really do not have a chance of winning anything ever...

News:
Starplayers Jon Dahl Tomasson & Stig Tĝfting will be ready for the match vs. England. It was doubtful if they would make it, but they did! woohoo, if they play Denmark WILL win! I know it. :D

England on paper have the better team easily :goodjob: England have the best centre back in the world Rio, one of the worlds best players Becks; bascially you could do this right through the team and England should win easily. i think 2-0 win england

Go England

:D

Like when Denmark played France:
France had Thurem, Desailly, Zidane, Barthez...
but Denmark won 2-0 anyways! HAHA! The same will happen to England...

So the game is getting closer...If England play well then they should go through but if they do not play as well as they can, then we will crash out...

After the boring match Germany-Paraguay, the tournament can use some excitement. For example a new upset.

Therefore I hope Danmark will win. (4-3).

How about England winning 3-2? :p

Its half time and England are leading 3-0. I guess my prediction of 1-0 to England was too conservative....

Come on Belgium - see you next round ....

If that's the same "no chance" we had against Denmark, I'll take it! ;)

A spectacular first half and after that the match was played. The Danes hadn't a chance at all.
England I hope the next match will be more competitive.

The Danes were very unlucky and stupid. The goalkeeper gave England two goals and the third was scored after a deflected pass.
In the second half the Danes had no luck at scoring. Overall it was a disappointing match but England deserved the win at least for the greater amount of luck they had.

The question is what will happen if England should ever go one goal down. Will they be able to play? We haven't seen that so far.

It was quite a boring game, like the match germany-paraguay.

England was better to take care of the chances that they had, and the danes couldn't take care of their chances. And the mistakes the danes had were too close to their own goal. After the 3 goals, the danish had to lead the game, and obviously they aren't suited for that kind of game.

what will happen if England should ever go one goal down. Will they be able to play? We haven't seen that so far.
I wonder if we will ever see it. The english defence is really good.

hmm, you can only beat what's but out against you, and when england went 2 - 0 up so easily and (perhaps :)) luckily there was no need to chase the game. Therefore, it's difficult to draw any real conclusions from the match. Never the less, they defended well and it'll be interesting to see how rio ferdinand, who's probably been the best defender in the tournament so far, et al cope against the best attack in the game. Could be interesting stuff :)

Wow England won comfortably and now we will probably play Brazil, who we can win against if our defense continues to be strong.
