I'm getting tired of not noticing a city population increase or realizing it a few turns later when I would have liked to change something when it first happened. Is there a mod out there that would deal with this? I did try the reminder mod, the one where you key in the number of turns and a message...but are there any other Mods out there for something like this?

Try the BUG mod, it has a BtS compatible version of Civ4lerts included - which notifies you of many things like population increase, city unheallthiness, willingness of an AI to trade a new tech or to sign open borders, etc. And it's fully customizable.

Thank you. I might give BUG a go. I'll find the thread and take a look. It has to work with Bhruic's Unofficial Patch which is really essential for post 3.13 BTS.

It works well with Bhruic's patch because the patch only changes the gamecore dll, while the the BUG team specifically decided not to touch that dll. There might be an overlap with the XML additions to Bhruic's patch, but these aren't crucial imho, and even if they were, they could easily be merged.
Here's a link to the BUG mod subforum. (http://forums.civfanatics.com/forumdisplay.php?f=268)
