Ok, so this is my first attempt at doing a AAR, but that won't stop me! Now, to make this more interesting, I will make it interactive! Sort of. Your avatars can be interactive anyway.

What I will do is that I will mod you into the game, if you can provide me with a picture that is 96 by 96 pixels. Then just provide me with what kind of ingame representation you want: Military Leader, Minister or tech team, or any combination thereof. (Note that the picture has to be bmp).

We will also do this democratically, we will decide on a nation to play, and I'll mod the files, etc.

Note that I'll be playing HoI 2 Armageddon, so we have some extra options: Tech team takeover on annexation and full IC from non-national provinces.

My recomendation:
Country: Brazil (excellent expansion opportunities, assuming we can avoid being crushed by the Americans)
Settings: Normal/Normal, 1936, Tech team takeover (but not full IC (messes the game up too much)).

So, what do you think? Anyone interested?

What we really need is infantry, tank and, well lets be honest, just about everything, but infantry and tank are the most important (we are likely to be using a lot of infantry given that this is south America we are talking about).

Ok, modded you in. Really, Paradox made modding like this easy with the editor. Shame there isn't an SDK, well anyway, I gave you a tank division, and two mountain divisions for myself. And I gave two interceptors to Prince Scamp.

Anyway, we should get started soon, I'll make some ministers out of you (if you want), and perhaps rework some events and give us national provinces in all of South America (hey, were already cheating pretty heavily).

Uhm, you do know that the editor is broken? The savegames it produces, are in 90% of the cases corrupted. You have to do the modding manualy.

Capitão II, the president of Brazil was tapping his fingers restlessly against the table. On all sides sat his ministers: Arne HD, his Prime Minister and Chief of Staff, Falconeire do Scampo (just Scampo for short) his Foreign Minister and Chief of the Air Force, Berrie his Minister of Armaments and Security, Mascarenhas de Subi (Subi for short) his Minister of Intelligence and Chief of the Army, and finally Nodikus his Chief of Naval Forces. MY ministers! he thought, I wonder just who holds sway over these men. He had a place in the cabinet, but he knew that to many he was just a popular man, a front, a figurehead, useful, but ultimately dispensable. They will have to learn just how capable and cunning I am.

Arne HD cleared his throat, "Next on the agenda is the position of Rhinemetall, specifically the Brazilian division. They have held an official stance of neutrality on the issue of the new government."
"Rhinemetall represents a threat. They cannot be relied on, most of them are still loyal to Germany! We should make sure that as many as possible take oaths of loyalty to Brazil." That was Berrie, the Minister of Security speaking, a friendly sort of fellow who keenly felt the need of the poor. But behind his sentimentality there lay a sharp mind, he knew full well that Rhinemetall could be essential to Brazilian economic progress.
"There is no need for haste in this," Said Arne HD "Rhinemetall will follow the money, they will not dare deliver a poor result to their German owners." Arne HD was a silent fellow, though thoroughly competent at his job. As chief of staff, he preferred to let the NCOs and other low level officers command troops, making sure that they were as highly trained as possible.
"Of course, it would be easy to put agents inside of the firm. I could replace the entire leadership within months if you give me the word." That was Subi, a master at industrial espionage, perhaps a natural affinity to mechanical things, as he never stopped boasting about the advantages of the tank. He had also taken quite a shine to Rhinemetall after they donated a large number of old tanks they had acquired. "Not that we could afford to loose them, some of their designs are fantastic! With them our military would be unstoppable!".

"Speaking of the military, what should we do about the... er... South Americanism? that is so popular?" said Arne. It was a difficult word, unfortunately there was none better. The depression and subsequent troubles had hit all of South America hard. In Brazil, it had resulted in a new government. "We should ride it, of course!" That was Scampo, an iron fisted brute at first sight, he was a major asset to the cabinet, having a much more cynical outlook on politics than the others around the table, not to mention his skill as Chief of the Air Force. "Our main target should be Argentina, they are our only real enemies in the area, with them gone, we can conquer all of South America, and beyond as well."
"If we are to look over seas, we will need a navy, something better and larger than the pitiful scrap metal that we call battleships today" That was Nodikus, a capable naval man and an excellent battleship commander, he had risen to power, partly as a result of his skill with ships, and partly due his friendship with Capitão II, with whom he shared a common past. Unfortunately, the tiny size of the Brazilian navy had not been fertile soil to grow a political career in. "We will be crushed from all sides if we do not develop our navy properly!"

"Our navy is not important now" said Subi, "What we need to do if we hope to expand is to take those nations that are down on their luck, and who are hungry for a change. I say we start with Paraguay and Uruguay, they are easy targets for our army." "They are also in an excellent position to attack Argentina" Mused Scampo, suddenly thoughtful "We could use them as staging areas". General murmurs of agreement were heard around the table.

"Right, then it is decided, we will acquire Paraguay and Uruguay as soon as possible." The voice was final, the session was over.




Out of Caracter: Uruguay has one VP province, that is also it's capital, flat. I'm sending our tank and our army in the area against it. Paraguay is a single province that is hills, perfect for our mountaineers and cavalry.
