Well, I am playing a game called Spartan, and it's only fair I play as Sparta :D

Level: Easy
Campaign: Grand

I must control 24 cities, including Athens, Cornith, and a few more. Sign up as a General, Admiral or Govener if you wish :)

Council of DOOM!

Generals and Admirals lead the troops into battle .They get mentioned more, but have no power
Advisers help the King, and decide who we will wage war with. If nessicary, they can become King
Nobles are Generals/Admirals/Advisers that have served Sparta with glory, and rule the other cities. When the King dies, they and the Advisers debate on who should be King, but Nobles have the final say. You may not start out as this

Generals

General PrinceScamp
General Germanicus (Will petition to be able to call him Sparticus)

Admirals

Admiral Nodikus

Nobles

Royal Family

King Nuclear Kid
Queen Camilia
Prince Nuclear Kid II
Princess Adoldina

King Nuclear kid looked over his empire, and was disipointed. His advisers reminded him that Athens was easier to play as, but he would have none of that!

King Nuclear Kid wanted to build a huge palace, with monuments to himself in Sparta, but his advisers got him to settle with a 50 Seater council of doom, and a Small village. The monuments would come later.

One of his advisers told the Spartan king that the weak Messenians lay to the west. A Spartan army would be built, and they would fall

But first, a council of doom was to be built

The Cretans open up diplomats with us, but nothing is more intresting than Prince Scamps Army to attack our enemies.

Meanwhile, the people of Sparta were decently fed this year

http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee242/nuclearkidthegreat/Harvest.jpg

In foreign news, the Athenians kill the great Socrates, and Plato fears for his life. The Spartans laugh at their stupidity, and carry on their bussiness

http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee242/nuclearkidthegreat/Plato.jpg

At last, PrinceScamp and his army arrived at Messene. He ordered his infantry to rush at the enemy screaming, while his Calvary would attack the sides

http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee242/nuclearkidthegreat/Planz.jpg

The enemy was routed, and the enemies were destroyed. A new, Spartan Occupation has replaced the former government

Awards

Medal of Honor: PrinceScamp

Shall we wipe out their last city, or what?

It's a great game, I've spent countless hours playing it. Legion arena is a good game too, but it has only 2 campaigns, and every time you have to take the same course of action.

I have a game similar to that by the same company, Legion. It's not a bad game, but after awhile the battles becoming tiringly repetitive. It needs that builder element - sure it has Basilicas and Bathhouses and the like, but there's no scientific research. And the battles after awhile all become like a previous one. But since I got it for $5, it was well worth the price :D! Gotta love those clearance sales. Spartan might be a bit better in this regard, it does look like you at least have a few more resources. And it looks like you have happiness, that wasn't a feature in Legion.

Legion is different from Legion Arena, btw. Same company, but Legion is 2002, and Legion Arena is 2005. I'm sure there's other differences, too. Spartan is a 2004 game from the same company, and appears very similar to Legion.

You ought to be able to get battle screenshots with the printscreen key - I know that worked in Legion. The battle scene is the one screenshot you have that graphically looks worse than Legion, though. Maybe it's just because it isn't zoomed-in - I'm sure they wouldn't decrease the graphical quality, Legion's wasn't that demanding.

Looks like you're off to a good start. I'm interested to see how a non-Civ story fares on CFC - and of course, whether your Spartans can triumph or will fall to the barbarian and civilized masses.
