A crash ending the game and notifying you about a "memory allocation failure" (=MAF).
If you have set autosave to 1 turn, you will see that the last autosave is very small (at least this are my indications).
From time to time it happens as well, when I am leaving a game and trying to go back to the main menu.

LoL.. I wonder what the abbreviation is for other languages. An abbreviation
from Fuberclockin Uberschmidt Crickey would fit well.

Has anyone else gotten the MAF? You can run Process Explorer (http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/utilities/processexplorer.mspx) and watch the size under "Virtual memory" on the BTS line. If this size is close to 2gb then a MAF will be in your near future. Again civ4 isn't the only TBS that have run into this problem (galciv2).

I only seem to get them with BtS, and not with Vanilla or Warlords. But my Laptop is a pos, with only a 32Mb video card and recently upgraded (well before Bts) 2GB RAM from 512MB.
