(Sorry, I initially posted this in the wrong forum!)
Hello everyone, I just wanted to post and say that I've uploaded a new mod called, creatively enough, "Rigel's Mod".
It has a number of minor tweaks (new cultural levels, new game speed, adjusted movement rates), but the main thing is that all appropriate units now have ranged attacks.
There's nothing like a stack of Longbowmen sitting on a hill, annihilating the enemy before they even get close :)
Or a fleet of Frigates sitting off the coast, bombarding enemy units & cities :) :)
Or your cannons, decimating the enemy, from the safety of your cities :) :) :)
The only downside is, everything you can do, the AI can do as well. Still, it makes the tactics in Civ IV that much more interesting :king:
Here's the entry in the File DB: http://forums.civfanatics.com/./down...o=file&id=7470
Try it out, and let me know what you think. I still need to balance some things, but overall I'm quite please with it.
