View Full Version : Rhye's and Fall of the Future
Swein Forkbeard Oct 30, 2007, 09:20 PM While I know there are several Future scenarios in BtS, I would really like one with Rhye's rules.
Here are the civilizations (please do note that some are from Empire Earth).
Novaya Russian Empire
Second Chinese Empire
Rebel Forces
Korean Union
Japanese Empire
United States of America
Arab Coalition
European Union
South America
African Union
Another option could be to extend RFC to late years. And I would like to simultaneously create a thread here about a new feature.
ROGUE GENERAL/GREAT TERRORIST
A Great General may be turned into a "Rogue General" with Hidden Nationality (and perhaps a hidden name?). He could then form an "army" to follow him. The RG could also be merged to an Air Unit and bomb WONDERS.
sdLeo Oct 30, 2007, 10:15 PM I like your ideas. I don't agree with the choice of civs. As much as I like the concept of the EU acting as one civ, this just doesn't reflect what the reality is. Individual states (UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain) all have a lot more say in international matters than does the EU. The same would go for the Middle East, even Africa.
Other than that, I'd love to play the 21st century as a starting date for RFC!
Toyokawa Oct 31, 2007, 04:51 AM It would be great!!
IMO, United Kingdom, France Germany, Italy and Spain are meant to be together as allies.
I don't know about the Turks... should they be part of Arab Coalition?
Australia could be a kind of Vassal of the USA, couldn't it? While Asian southeast countries (like Vietnan, Thailand, Laos etc) could be protected by China.
Swein Forkbeard Oct 31, 2007, 07:05 AM I forgot one thing in the OP.
SPACE COLONIES!
Yep, you read it right. Players may colonize the Solar System and beyond in this mod. On other planets, there might be crystal fields which serve the same function as forests/jungles in the main game. And you could build space docks in cities to help you build spaceships to colonize these planets. Civilizations will fight for control of the Solar System (particularly Mars) and some will even have a UHV dealing with that. And there would be one more civ who tries to stop you.
The Eye of God (unplayable)
This civ will have units (but less futuristic ones) that will spawn from who-knows-where that will try to end your colonization efforts immediately.
holy king Oct 31, 2007, 07:14 AM you're gonna make this mod?
Zhuge_Liang Oct 31, 2007, 08:51 AM Empire Earth what? 1,2 or the new one, 3?
Śmarth Oct 31, 2007, 08:53 AM ^ there's lots of ideas, not a lot of action around here sometimes :P

And there isn't a 2nd Chinese Empire either... he's talking about the future.

The first one.
@holy king: I have zero modding knowledge; this is just an idea.
May I have a response from Rhye?
Bob III Oct 31, 2007, 05:47 PM I think Rhye's up to his shoulders in work as it is, any more and you'll drown poor Rhye. :(
sdLeo Oct 31, 2007, 05:57 PM ^And there isn't a 2nd Chinese Empire either... he's talking about the future.
I know... I just assumed it would start in the present... And I just have trouble imagining the Brits answering to Brussels!
Rex rgis of Ter Oct 31, 2007, 06:10 PM I like the concept, but the idea of 'unions' doesn't ssit right with me. I would prefer taking stronger states from the area and make them conquer their neighbours. People aren't nice enough to make a union, but they are mean enough to destroy another nation for more power.
tariqari Oct 31, 2007, 08:32 PM Wow thats a lot of expectations for the "future"...somehow I seriously doubt the EU would see a long lasting future. I also don't see the future filled with "great terrorists" either...
Lucifel Oct 31, 2007, 08:52 PM Why Australia is answering to America I can't begin to imagine.
LuKo Nov 01, 2007, 06:56 AM I would like to see scenario like that:
http://img240.imageshack.us/img240/9215/top5dj2.png
Red- New Roman Empire
Pink- Rebirthed Soviet Union
Green- Islamic Coalition
Dark Blue- United States of America, Japan and Korea
Light Blue- United States of South and Central America (vassal of USA)

The "Great Terrorists" were units that I thought could be added to regular RFC.
@LuKo: Wow, that would be a great scenario!

Red- New Roman Empire
Pink- Rebirthed Soviet Union
Green- Islamic Coalition
Dark Blue- United States of America, Japan and Korea
Light Blue- United States of South and Central America (vassal of USA)
This is actually a really great scenario...but why would Japan and Korea ally with America?
Rex rgis of Ter Nov 01, 2007, 06:08 PM Because they are the greatest Free Market economies right now. And they all are very friendly to another. I'd like some more nations. Like the New ROme though. But Israel is paert of the Islamic Coaltion, and It should either be American or Roman.
tariqari Nov 01, 2007, 11:05 PM My bad for not seeing N. Korea a part of the SU. Still not too sure on Japan...
Zhuge_Liang Nov 02, 2007, 03:00 AM I like the 2 and 3 empire earth.
LuKo Nov 02, 2007, 03:30 AM but why would Japan and Korea ally with America?
Because China since long time ago wants to invade Japan. Neither Korea nor Japan without any help couldn't defend themselves against power of united China and Russia.
Joe Harker Nov 02, 2007, 06:28 AM How about putting the EU into some sought of Permant alliance thing, but a country could break away from it if they wished? Mind you i don't know how that could be done.
