I did some magical keystroke combo and the unit buttons moved from the bottom to the side. How do I move them back?

There is a key combination I don't remember. Just press what you can.

Okay, I just tested. It's the left Ctrl + Backspace.

Thanks alot guys, backspace did it for me. I had no idea this was possible, and so had no idea how to undo it. Learned something.

I had that problem a couple of months back. I decided to save and restart, and that worked.
