I've tried making a civ map like this for a long time but all my attempts came out awful. i'm excited to see one that looks very promising.

You just made me want to read that book. Although, come to think of it, it's been on my reading list for months upon months now.

I've been trying to do the same thing ever since I read the article on Dream Bank but I haven't been able to get the BMP-WBS converter to work properly.

Would it be possible for you to make a version for Warlords or Vanilla so that I could play it?

Sorry, but to do a warlords or vanilla version, I would spend a lot of time, and my exams are very close. And to do another version I should speak with Jaredia creator, Chris Wayan. (He only allowed me to make this map).

In this message, i´ll tell you all 18 Jaredian civilizations by continent (for Jaredia v1.0)

TORTOLIA (North America): USA, Aztecs
AMAZONIA (South America): Incas
ÁFRICA: Zulu
ASIA: Sumer, Arabia, India, Persia, Mongolia, Japan, & Khemer
EUROPE: Byzantium, Spain, Holy Empire, Vikings, & Russia
TROPICA: (Antarctica): Maya (In Jaredia V2.0 they´ll be Vinsonians, a new tropican civilization)
AUSTRALIA: American Natives (In Jaredia v2.0 they´ll be Uluru Nation, a new australian civilization)

NOTES:
1- In Jaredia world, Europe will be a frozen tundra, less civs would emerge.
2- Tropica & Australia are more fertile than in our world and new civs would emerge in those lands.
3- England & France have been erased to allow other europeans civs can grow.
4- In Jaredia, Holy Empire is historical Germany+France; England is now an european peninsule, so I think english civ would be more difficult to emerge.
5- Africa is a frozen glacial pole, only zulues could emerge
6- Mongolian leader will be Kublai Khan, to be Mongolia+China (I think Kublai is also a chinese leader)
7- Asia is in the best position, central & fertile, that´s the reason there are more asian civs.
8- NONE of this notes are "laws", so I´ll accept any suggest to modify it.

Remember 11th, November: Jaredia is coming...

Almost. I have a new job, I´m very busy. IF anyone wants I can send him Jaredia Unfinished map (it´s about 80% completed), so he can finish it, and put "make by..... & Pablalf, Based on Chris Wayan´s maps"

why don't you post it anyway... people will know that it's only 80% done (what's missing by the way?) and do something with it.

it looks like a great map to play... I'd like to get it and try it out (and maybe complete it if I have time).

I've been making my own version of this with the lovely BMP to WBS converter. First time making a map, so it's a little rough, and I haven't put down resources or rivers yet. I'd be very grateful if someone more experienced could add these final touches and any improvements that might be necessary.

PS: I copied some of the rock formations from one of Rhye's maps, I hope he doesn't mind!

Unfortunately I don't know how to upload maps. Anyone give me a hand?

how big is your version? I made one but it was a tad to large to be useful. If it's no bigger than Rhye's earth map I'd like to give it a shot. Or you could do it yourself. I find that the mapview program (you should be able to find it in the utilities subforum) is the best for making rivers and such.
Oh and to upload a map you have to put it in a .zip file first.

Ah that would explain it. I have a map that's 203x80 and I'm still working on a smaller one.

Edit: Okay, these both still need a lot of editing and cleaning up by someone more experienced, and the addition of rivers and resources.

The smaller one is 152 by 60.

Hi again, I want to tell you 3 things:

1- I´m Pablalf, with my new account. My old account crashed, and moderators helped me to merge my old account in my new account.
2- Due personal motives I couldn't end my Jaredia map.
3- If you create new Jaredia maps, you should ask permission to Chris Wayan. I asked permission to him, and he allowed me to create Jaredia. I'm not responsible about your maps.
See you soon at CFC.

Bye;)

Sorry I didn't see this any sooner. I'd like to ask if you could at least upload the work you've done so far so that others can finish it off? I'm not a mapmaker and I really don't know what I'm doing, but I would still like to see a version of this map finished.

Mine still lacks resource and river placement, because I have no idea of where they should be placed. If anyone could finish it off, I'd really like to see how the game would play out.
