I think i must be missing something here trying to gain access to my Uranium resource.

In my current game playing as Bismark i have just discovered Physics, revealing Uranium in my lands. My workers have built a mine on it and connected to my cities with a railroad. When i check my resources in the city screen ,no Uranium !

I don't understand why and it doesn't tell me in civilopedia that i need another tech or building ? Please tell me what i'm missing.Thx.

I think you need to know fission for it to show up on the city screen.

All the same, Uranium isn't that great unless there is absolutely no way of getting oil. Nuclear power might give fallout, and nukes are horribly nerfed in civ4.

Agree... uranium is chiefly useful as an oil substitute for advanced warships. If you only have offshore oil, you need Plastics to get it, and if an unfriendly power has destroyers, you might have trouble improving on that offshore oil. ;)

Not if you go into GlobalDefines.XML and change the destruction values for nukes.

actually there's a unit besides nukes that you can't make with oil, you have to have uranium. attack subs i think.

1) Acquire Uranium, build ICBMs

The star wars defence project nurfs nukes.

50% would be bad enough, but 75% chance of success to block?
