I'm making a mod and assigning cost values to the units. I notice that almost all original units have values divisible by 10 (20, 30, etc.). Only one, a ship, has a value with a ones digit of 5 (15). I also notice that sometimes a unit with a cost of 25 takes the same number of turns to build as one that costs 30. Can any of you math wizzes please tell me if there is any sense in valuing units at 25, 35, 45 points, etc.?

Thanks.

If a city generates only one shield a turn, the 25 shield unit will take 25 turns, and the 30 shield unit will take 30 turns.

I'm guessing that in your scenario, the city is just gaining too many shields to make a difference :)

Thank you for the response, Virote_Considon. I worked it out and it seems (depending on how rounding is handled) that a difference between 25 & 30 or 35 & 40 becomes mathematically lost at about 7 shields. Until that point, there is a difference in the number of creation turns and it is useful to assign them to distinguish the value of units.
