For some reason no animated gifs are animated on my computer.

I have windows 98se and IE 6.

This includes all the CFC smilies but the following three work::aargh3: :mwaha: :nya:

Yes.

You can set the animated options in MS IE.

Tools ---> Internet Options ---> Advanced

you will get a popup like this:

Just check/uncheck the Animated box as you please....

Do you have a firewall program such as AtGuard or Norton Internet Security running? If not configured correctly, sometimes those programs stop animations after a few seconds.

Hmmm, it was ZoneAlarm and its adblocking. Its mostly fixed now.

Some of the smilies I thought were animated still aren't, including the following: :rolleyes: :eek: :crazyeye: :cry: :scan: :sheep: :groucho:

Is this in your browser or in a image viewer program? Some viewers (like paint) don't support animated gifs.
