I just finished installing a router at my house to share the DSL connection. The connection speed appears to be MUCH MUCH faster than before and there is no more dialing and pauses. :) It seems to be faster than the T1 connection I used to have in college.

Ah yes, dsl is a wonderful thing and routers make it more wonderful! Except when you can't play ****ing SC with it! Sorry about that.:D

Bah it's not happening in France yet, that personal DSL go beyond 128KB. But proxies are cool

A router in and of itself is not causing your SC problem. It is some other software or hardware function that is (in regards to your post on SC problems). All internet data packet pass through usually a dozen or more routers, each way, for every game communication ;)...

I know but I meant that the dsl wasn't letting me play...:D

I rarely play MP games so it's not a problem for me. :) Maybe the release of Civ3 PTW will change that...
