I started using Firefox 3 Beta 1 (http://en-us.www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-beta.html) and I must say: It's quite nice. None of my extensions (save Ad block plus) work, but it feels like a pretty good browser. To be exact, it feels a bit like Opera. They way it loads pages looks a bit different (it says somewhere it uses a new rendering engine, and I assume that's the reasons), and you can now zoom complete pages, like Opera does. I'm sure there's all sorts of improvements, but for me it's the more Opera-like feel that is the biggest improvement: Opera with Firefox add-ons? Sign me up!
Anyone else tried it? If so, what do you think?

Oh man, I remember when I tried it while it was still in alpha RC1. Even then it was stable and a lot faster than 2.0. Unfortunately, I have some extensions which I need at the moment, so Im not going to try it out, but as soon as they become supported, its onto FF 3.0

StumbleUpon and Ad-block work now, that's enough for me...

I just installed it after seeing this thread. Most of my extensions worked.
My first thoughts are: What the hell is different? After about 6 hours of use there are no changes graphically or functionally that I noticed.

Yeah, I have to admit that the changes seem very small. But I do think it's slightly faster than FF2, though Opera might be faster still.
And the new Bookmark management system doesn't do much for me: I don't really see the point.
Still for some reason it feels better...
