GigaNerd Nov 26, 2007, 05:11 PM Here are my opinions:
Genghis Khan: AWESOME!! MUCH COOLER THAN THE LAST TWO GAMES!!
Shaka: He's a bit ugly, but better than in CivIII and CivIV. ;)
Catherine: Whoa! What did they do to her?
Gandhi: :cringe:
Napoleon: I'm something between feeling amused and afraid.
Saladin: -_-;
Cleopatra: Eww.....
Lincoln: Haven't seen him yet.
Montezuma: :twitch:
Mao Zedong: Haven't seen him yet.
Elizabeth: Haven't seen her yet.
Bismark: He's okay!
Alexander: Haven't seen him yet.
Tokugawa: Haven't seen him yet.

Churchill 25 Nov 29, 2007, 06:08 PM Napoleon is the best

DanQ Dec 02, 2007, 11:08 AM Though a bit small in resolution, you can see a screen capture of Saladin and Julius Caesar in the third part (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=253048) of my preview of the game. The resolution is as low as it is as it was captured at a bit of a distance and angle why I myself was playing.
Emperor2 Dec 02, 2007, 02:33 PM Where can I find screenshots?
DanQ Dec 04, 2007, 07:16 PM Where can I find screenshots?
'Erm, you can find some from the linked to in my post above. :)
Lachlan Dec 05, 2007, 05:58 AM This CivRev seems to be very coloured, i like that !
And my fun to play, i will like that too :)
CivRev : as fun as Civ 2 ?
How air units plays ? Like in Civ 2 ? Civ 3 or Civ 4 ?
Loved air combat unit model in Civ 2, marvellously simple...
Because Civ 4 is cool but eat far too more computer ressources...
DanQ Dec 05, 2007, 08:16 PM I did not see any air units in action in either the demonstration of the game or in playing it myself, Lachlan, nor do I know any intricacies of how combat is to work with them here.
dojoboy Dec 06, 2007, 08:16 AM Cleopatra is the best :mischief:
I agree!
Padma Dec 06, 2007, 10:45 AM @Lachlan: Like DanQ, I never made it to the modern age in my playing, nor did we see it in any demo. So we don't know yet how air combat works.
ggganz Dec 08, 2007, 11:08 PM Um, I can't find a picture of Catherine. What does she look like?
And Genghis is way too excessive. How can he move?
Civfan333 Dec 16, 2007, 06:34 PM I think she's the one in the pink dress.;)
ggganz Dec 16, 2007, 07:35 PM You mean this?
http://www.civfanatics.com/gallery/displayimage.php?imageid=1324&original=1
Yeah, weird.
Civfan333 Dec 17, 2007, 12:54 PM Yeah, I think she doesn't look right.
dshirk Dec 20, 2007, 07:30 AM That's not Catherine, that's Isabella. :)
Civfan333 Dec 20, 2007, 11:03 AM ok, thanks for the info. I was worried if that was actually Catherine.;)
lord_joakim Dec 20, 2007, 06:44 PM This thread is useless without leader pics :p
But gnome Nappy rox!
dutchking Jan 02, 2008, 04:00 PM Cleopatra is the best :mischief:
Muwhahaha.... :D
Swein Forkbeard Jan 05, 2008, 02:40 PM Genghis Khan looks too huge. He was really less than 5 feet tall.
Civfan333 Jan 05, 2008, 04:37 PM Really? I always thought he was short, but definitely not THAT short.:D
DanQ Jan 06, 2008, 09:55 AM Genghis Khan looks too huge. He was really less than 5 feet tall.
The game is still in development and appearances can be deceiving, but out of curiosity where did you read/hear this? Any answer I've come across has indicated that there is no way to be certain of how tall Genghis really was though certainly tall enough enough to ride a horse.

My language arts teacher told me that.
DanQ Jan 06, 2008, 11:28 AM My language arts teacher told me that.
Ah. Than I would be interested to know where they got their answer from so that I could consult that source myself.
Lokolus Jan 06, 2008, 12:09 PM Napoleon was really slightly above average for his time...
ggganz Jan 06, 2008, 03:55 PM He was 5' 7". That was about normal.
I THINK!...
Churchill 25 Jan 06, 2008, 06:02 PM Napoleon was 5'7 well why do people call him so short. even today that is not that short.
ggganz Jan 06, 2008, 06:16 PM Because everyone thinks he was 5' 2". He was........ in French feet and inches.
Churchill 25 Jan 06, 2008, 07:35 PM like meters?
ggganz Jan 06, 2008, 08:50 PM Nooooo... meters were actually invented during Napoleon's life (when he was about 21) and they probably had him recorded using feet and inches by then. French feet and inches were different than today's feet and inches. (larger, obviously)
