Hello everyone....yet another noob-rific question.... ;)

How does one change the amount of turns it takes to acheive a time victory?

For example, in marathon it's 1500 turns....what if I would like to modify this?

I've poked my head around various places, including doing word searches, the Civ4wiki, checking XML and Python files myself, but I just can't grasp this quite yet...

I merely want to change the amount of turns it takes for a time victory....there must be a numeral somewhere that I could change from 1500 to "x"

Thanks in advance for any guidance.... :)

I think you might want to check out this thread.

I, too, have been trying to figure out how to modify the turns in the game, but I just can't seem to wrap my head around the calculations. I am wanting to add ~140 turns to Marathon, ~80 turns to late-game in Epic, ~50 turns in Normal and ~20 turns in Quick in BtS. If any could do these calculations for me, I'd be much obliged.

Hi Xenomorph...thanks for the link! I have read much of the thread you posted, and there is a lot of good stuff there, but I did not notice a discussion on how to lengthen (or shorten) the amount of turns for victory...based on what I've read, it seems that Kael's Fall from Heaven mod doubled the amount of turns it takes to be victorious, and I've thought of looking through his mod, but I haven't picked through it as of yet...if I find the answer I'll post it ;)

Hi Tholish....thanks for the reply....well, I thought this may be the control:

<iVictoryDelayPercent>300</iVictoryDelayPercent>

However, I changed that number (higher and lower), but the turns to victory in the victory screen remained the same for a marathon game (1500 turns) no matter where I set that number....otherwise, I don't see where else "turns to victory" could be modified within GameSpeedInfo
