Emperor2 Nov 29, 2007, 06:45 AM I've got an idea. How about everybody takes a turn changing an event in history, just one event, and then the next person changes another event based on the last changed event.
An Example could be something like this:
User 1:
The Carthaginians win the Battle of Agrigentum, destroying the Roman forces. The stunning defeat forces Rome to surrender to Carthage, and Carthage seizes the southern areas of the Italian Peninsula, and becomes the world superpower.
User 2:
Carthage declares war on Egypt, and conquers it.
User 3:
Carthage proceeds to invade Palastine. After a heavy resistance, Jeruselum falls.
User 4:
Christianity is established in the Carthaginian Empire and becomes the Religion of the East.
...
If your interested, feel free to post an event. As long as we start out with a BC event, this could be a really long thread. AND PLEASE, NOTHING REDICULOUS LIKE "Then the Etheopians nuked the world and everyone died.":nuke:
RedRalphWiggum Nov 29, 2007, 06:49 AM 1. The Spartans lose the battle of Thermopylae, and are eventually conquered by Persia. the Persians eventually assimilate Greece to some degree...

Born, but, stripped of the opportunity to make his name by challenging the Jewish establishment, which no longer exists in the sense it did in the levant, his life passes off fairly unremarkably, although he does become a fairly well know carpenter and makes a pretty decent living. He is well known among his patrons in the Jewish state, which exists as a client state of Persia on the understanding no talk agains tht empire will be tolerated. rumours abound that Jesus has contacts with the Roman empire, but the Persians, by this stage full of hubris, wont entertain the idea.
The Persian empire, on the other hand, is going from strength to strength. Expanding northwards into the Caucasus, they colonise the entire coast of the black sea and the northern Balkans. Zoroastrianism looks set to become the new religion of Europe. Rome is beginning to feel threatened once again, and begins to secretly build a new army, with a possible eye on war with Persia. the Perisans still dont have the entire Arabian peninsula under control, the Jewish state and some tribes to the south are still nominally independent but to all intents and pusposes they rule from the Carpathians to the Indus. Can anyhting stop them? Will they leave Rome as masters of Western Europe? Can the Jewish state ever break freee of their grip?
(Enjoying this!)
GigaNerd Nov 29, 2007, 04:10 PM A large group of Jewish prisoners secretly escape Persian captivity, and they sail west, hoping to find a better life. They eventually reach a new land (North America), then settle down in an unoccupied region (Florida) and start building their own culture. They meet the Native American tribes, and start trading with them. After a few years, some Native Americans are inspired by the tales of the Jewish people, and they decide to go see the eastern world. They set sail on the same boats that the Jews arrived in, and they make good progress. However, they make a wrong turn and arrive in Celtic territory.
Meanwhile, a new leader has appeared among the Roman people.....
mr_lewington Nov 29, 2007, 05:22 PM The New Leader, Felix Sejanus, is a warmongering tyrant. He declares war on the persians using his new secret army of 185,000 and invades greece. After 30 years of war he stops the Romans stop in Ionia. Persia, weakened by this advance, counter attack in recent Roman gains in North Africa and secure Libya. Carthage, Largely a neutral party, attacks Rome in Gaul and Perisa in Egypt. Unlike the Perisans, the Carthagenians promise the secret Jewish leader, Jesus, A rebuilt Jeruselum and restored Independant Judea. The Carthaginians are also very impressed and are liking The Jewish Religion and newly Carthaginan Jews, including the Kings son, Believe Jesus the son of god. Meanwhile, The Natives that landed in Celtic lands landed in Hibernia and are influenced by the locals techonology, which were picked up by the Romans in Gaul, The locals call them self Britone Woads. The Jews in North America have settled in modern day Cuba and have set up the city new jeruselum. and the so far Opressed Spartans... The Year is 45AD c
cybrxkhan Nov 29, 2007, 06:31 PM Meanwhile, in China, the Trung Sisters have sucessfully overthrown the Chinese rule in Vietnam, and their sucessor, we'll just call him Trung Nguyen, even goes conquering a half of China.
"Yue-nan", as it is known, is now the rival of the Han Dynasty in East Asia. Expanding into Central Asia, tHe Han dynasty meanwhile sucessfully sends a delegation to Rome, and they agree on an alliance against the Persians.

Saim Nov 29, 2007, 07:15 PM During 450 the Gupta empire is in the north, so these are the
"Indians" we're talking about, right?
Also, I think if Judea became free, from a secular standpoint, the Jesus myth would have never happened.
Meanwhile, in the West, Zoroastrianism is spreading. Italy now has a sizeable Zoroastrian minority. The Zoroastrains are considered heretics for their monotheism in the Roman Empire (remember this happening to Christianity?) and Carthage and Rome ally against the Persian empire.
cybrxkhan Nov 29, 2007, 07:34 PM Yet, at the same time, Buddhism spreads into Persia and, althuogh does not replace Zoroastranism, gains a sizable minority. It even spreads as far as Egypt and the Arabian Penensula, and gains a strong community in Mecca.
Meanwhie, in China, the Han Dynasty continues its powress, using the new technology of gunpowder to win continous victories against Vietnam. However, the Vietnamese finally manage to copy the technology in 225 CE thanks to the genius of their queen, Trieu Thi Trinh. In fact, she even takes the technology further, inventing a "firelance". Using this, Vietnam becomes the supreme power of Southeast Asia, preventing the rise of other powerful kingdoms in the area.

Wait, Carthage is now a Jewish (Monothetis) State attacking Gaul.

The new Germania Army is retrained and reequiped and take drive most of the enemy forces back to the sea. As India, China, Rome and Carthage fight away the overstrechted Persian Empire, the Jews of Joshehup find the courage to break free of Vassal rule and sent an invasion force for Israel...
cybrxkhan Nov 29, 2007, 07:37 PM China has now overexpanded, stretching as far as Persepolis itself. With Vietnam threatening its southern borders, the Han dynasty collapses into Three Kingdoms - one based on Kashgar in Central Asia, one based on Chang'an in China, and one based on Chengdu in China, headed by the Sun, Cao, and Liu families respectively.

I was hoping we stick to the First World War and the Period of the Three Kingdoms.
Anyway, the Mayans having made contact with Jews in Cuba adopt their Religion and way of life, hoping one day to restore Jerusalem to its former glory. In 68 AD Palenque I, begin building the largest fleet in the world under the comand of Mengche. In Arabia, the Jews had sucessfully fought through into Palestine. After the decisive Battle of Gaza, the Jews march towards Jerusalem hoping to reconquer the rubble burnt down 70 years ago. The Romans push out the Persians into the Bosphorus, the Indians harass the eastern end and the Carthaginians conquer Egyot only to find the Jews in the way. They decide wheter to attack or declare peace
cybrxkhan Nov 29, 2007, 08:14 PM But meanwhile, in China, things are still pretty deadly. The four East Asian factions are joined by a fifth - Riben (Japan). A noble of the house of Cao, named Sima Zhan, disgusted by their behavior, escapes with some followers and founds a fifth faction, the Sima.
Meanwhile, the Jews, weary of the Carthaginians, send assistance to the Egyptian guerilla movement.

Felix Sejanus attempts to invade the British Isles but the Britone Woads beat him back (on map romans havent take British isles ;)) The Carthaginians invade Iberia, but a stalemate occurs on a rugged line crossing the Penisula across modern day Madrid. The Jews in Cuba start to Expand in the Gulf of Mexico. The Chinese Crush the Recent<INSERT CHINESE NAME FOR HUNS CYBRIX>
btw, how do u add a map like that? opens so many possiblities
cybrxkhan Nov 29, 2007, 08:25 PM The House of Sun in China crushes a Hun rebellion, killing the great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather of Attila. THe Huns are wiped out.
Meanwhile, in China, the war gets worse. An ingenious inventor of the House of Liu, Qiao Sui, perfects the first hand-held gun in the year 356 CE. It quickly spreads to all the CHinese factions, and the death toll begins to rise. Not only that, the House of Trung in Vietnam and the House of Sun in Central Asia both cross into India, conquering the northern half.
Because of this, Buddhism spreads all over East Asia, promising peace and harmony. Finally, the battles begin to dwindle, and the war gets less and less intense. Finally, negotiations are underway. The House of Trung's ruler, Trung Hoang, is crowned as the Emperor of the Trung dynasty in 420 CE, and a loose confederation if formed between the Chinese factions, a confederation which stretches from the Aral Sea to the Japanese islands, from the Mongolian steppes to the jungles of India and Cambodia. It is decided (now that the heartland of Buddhism is under Chinese control) that a "Dalai Lama" will be selected to be a mediator between the various factions.

aronnax Nov 29, 2007, 08:45 PM 90AD, Christian Inty, was born to a Greek Nobleman called Heretik Inty. He was chosen by G-d to cleanse the sins of Humanity and put an end to the "War of the Medditerean" by 110AD, many Romans convert to the new religion in hopping for a better future. Revolts occur to stop the war become intense and Roman Emperors capture Christian, who is burnt to death. Inspired by their Mayrt, the new religion is name after him as Christianity. In 116 AD after strings of roman sucess, Nogustuis converts to Christiantiy
In 120AD a ceasefire is drawn in Spain netween Carhtage and Rome as Persia Power dwindles. Revolts and riots to end the war shake the Empire as Carthage attacks Southren Anatolia in cooperation witht the Romans attack attacking the Northen half. After the final Battle of Antioch where the Jews, Romans and Carthage teamed up agaisnt the last remaining Persian force, King Tarius III dies in the battle and the empire fragments and cracks into a thousand states. Persia is no more.
With Jewish Carthage South and Christian Rome North as the new superpowers. They stare each other in the face across the Meddieterean in a shaky peace

cybrxkhan Nov 29, 2007, 08:49 PM The Egyptian guerilla movement is growing in Persia, and it is assisted by Nubia. Finally, simultaneous attacks take place in Memphis, Thebes, Alexandria, and Nabatea.
The Egyptian empire is refounded under Ahmose IV in the year 137 CE, a great man of charisma, military and domestic capability, and a nationalistic desire to bring Egypt back to the world. Quickly, he overruns half of Carthage, bringing it to near collapse, but Carthage rebounds and makes peace with Egypt.
Egypt is now dominant in the southern Mediteranean, alarming Emperor Hadrian II of the Romans. He considers war.
After the collapse of Persia, meanwhile, the Chinese Confederation looks westerward and annexes many of Persia's eastern areas. Afghanistan, Bactria, and such places are taken. the Chinese Confederation now reigns supreme over all of Asia, and under the Trung Dynasty, is the largest empire known so far in history.

The rebellion by the six new angry factions overthrows the Trung Emperor Trung Bing. However, his ingenious minister, ZHuge Liang, as well as the Dalai Lama III, manage an ingenious compromise that would secure stability in the Chinese confederation for ages.
In the year 164 AD, influenced by the ideals of a small Greek state he had read about, Zhuge Liang brings before the now squabbling Chinese confederationalists an interesting new idea - democracy.
It is revolutionary. Many object to it. But Zhuge Liang presses forward - the idea is thus – there will also be a Senate, which shall consist of members elected directly by the nobles and middle-class. There will be ten Senators per each faction; the Emperor, though hereditary, will reign only as leader of the Senate, but otherwise will not be more powerful than the Senate.
Surprisingly, some begin to find the idea interesting. Finally, a majority of the warring lords agree to try it. Zhuge Liang is appointed emperor Xuandi I, and the first Senate of the CHinese confederation is made to session in the year 169 CE. It is widely popular throughout the empire, and peace slowly returns after decades.
After the insitutional changes, there are ten "states", or factions:
- Vietnam
- Wei (northern CHina)
- Han (southern China)
- Mongolia
- Central Asia
- North India
- Khmer
- Japan
- Korea
- Sun (Talikman Desert area)

However, the invasion by a renegade defecting general of the CHinese COnfederation is defeated.
Meanwhile, the gun technology developed by the Chinese spreads to Egypt, and is adopted into the Egyptian armies by 193 CE. The Egyptians finally crush the Carthaginians in 199 CE, but the Romans are now extremely alarmed and try to desperately copy the designs of the gun technology, but continue to fail doing so because of Egyptian border regulations.
Meanwhile, in China, all is going well, despite the break-off by the Parthians and Baktrians. These peoples, anyhow, found a small heavily sinicized kingdom called Xinguo, which rules most of Afghanistan. In the Chinese confederation, meanwhile, trading ships reach as far as the Cape of GOod Horn.

cybrxkhan Nov 29, 2007, 10:04 PM China, Rome, and Ethiopia declare war on Egypt and the Jewish state of Josephus.
The first world war has begun in the year 280 CE.
The Chinese senate agrees to this, and war plans are drawn up between both alliances. Rome, China, and Ethiopia plan to do a simultaneous three-pronged invasion of the Middle East, while the Egyptians and the Jews plan for a direct attack on Rome, because China is separated by the hills of Persia and Ethiopia by the African jungle.

The Aztecs have taken over ALL Mayan territory, causing that empire to colapse. Meanwhile, the Celtic Americans (they're olive green on the map) expand deeper into Canada and Russia, and they now have one third of Canada and one fourth of Russia. Rome is getting uneasy due to this new threat. The Chinese have diverted from World War I to go participate in a civil war. Half of China (the eastern half) is destroyed. Korea and Vietnam both get information about the Chinese collapse relatively early, and they quickly expand into the ruined territory. The two civs merge into one, creating Koritnam. A new power rises in the world: the Aborigines (or however you spell it). They have expanded into all Oceania and the SE Asian Islands, and they threaten to invade Koritnam. Will Cybrxkhan save us? :p :crazyeye: On top of all that, the Egyptians and the Ethiopians have a new enemy to face. They are known as the Republic of Congo. Congo has taken over all of non-Egyptian and non-Ethiopian Central Africa. Meanwhile, a new leader, named Gandhi II, has given strength and morality to the Indian empire, restoring its former glory.
cybrxkhan Nov 30, 2007, 04:11 AM The year is 333 CE.
Koritam is under threat by the Jewish Alliance from thewest, india from the south, and the Aborigines. Thuogh their leader, Emperor Xinzong IV is a decent leader, he realizes the futility of some of it; Koritam withdraws out of World War I, leaving Rome alone to the mercy of the Jews and Egyptians.
THen, in a swift move, he draws in the eastern factions back into the Chinese Republic-Confederation with greater promises of democracy, now allowing peasants to vote in the Senate elections. The peasants, happy with this, overthrow the eastern warlords and rejoin the now reformed Chinese Rep.-Confed.
Then, he agrees to support India, and agrees to give it territory up to the Ganges River, and even gives one of his daughters to Gandhi II as a wife. Both India and China watch the Aborigines warily, and agree to war both against it.
India and China, with superior technology (including newly invented flintlock muskets), defeat the Aborigines, but only after fifty hard years of battle.
Finally, in 386 CE, the Indians and Chinese come to the Aborigine capital, Uluru, and raze it. Up to 3 million aborigines are slaughtered in one of the worst genocides in history.
With the threat of the Aborogines over for good, the CHinese send a delegation to the Romans. But to the delegation's horror, World War I has ended for 25 years, because...

aronnax Nov 30, 2007, 05:37 AM ... with China stuck in a Civil War. Rome and Ethopia are left isolated and seperated by the Jewish Alliance. Constant raids into the heart of Rome had crumbled the country. At one, Constantinople was sieged for 2 years straight. Although the Alliance was beaten back once more 2/3 of the city population had died. Else where, the massive strangle on Roman Ports left many cities half starved and plagued with death. The increased number of deaths spreads a Blubonic plague that has killed off more than 5/7 of the country. Some cities like Marsielles and Barcelona are emptied out. What is left of the population revolt and riot for peace with the Jewish Alliance. Left with a angry empire, Convertine II sued for peace. In Nicosia, the three leaders, Convertine II of Rome, Potuesses IV of Egypt and Solomiten of Josephus sign the Treaty of Nicosia where Spain, Southen France and Sicily is ceded to Egypt and Greece, the Balkans and Antonlia is ceded to Josephus.
Ethiopia, having lost contact with the outside world, fade into oblivion when Egyptian and Jewish delagates and diplomats stop responding to their motherlands. Egypt and Josephus, althuogh victorius, like Rome, are facing economic difficulties suffered by the war. Millions have died, and plague begins to stalk the land. Worse, Germanic barbarians come from the north.
With no Huns to halt their advance for a while, many of the German tribes unite under a man named Alaric, and, in the fashion of the old Roman empire, founds the Holy Germanic Empire, based on the Christian Religion. It encompasses our history's Germany, Poland, Hungary, and Bulgaria.
Knowing that Rome is weak and poses no real threat, Alaric moves to attack Egypt's weak position in Gaul. The Egyptians sue for peace, and Gaul is given to the HGE.
Meanwhile, in the Middle East, the first serious rebellions are occuring against Josephuys. A distant ancestor of the last Persian Emperor, Tarius III, bands together a large gathering of followers, including Persians, Babylonians, Assyrians, Armenians, and others. Based around the city of Pasagardae, he begins a long and weary campaign of independence against the increasingly weakining Josephus.
Meanwhile, in Asia, the China Republic-COnfederation remains relatively stable, and increasingly is becoming centralized. India is also relatively stable, and is increasing in size and power, althuogh it is allied with China. However, a certain Chinese admiral, the name of which is Ku Lanbu, discovers ancient maps that lead to a certain location out in the ocean... the Mayans.
With permission from Emperor Huanzong III and the Chinese Senate, he sails with twelve large ships to the east in late 407, in the hopes of contacting the Mayans. After a few months of grueling journey, they spot land - jungles, many jungles in a land called MesoAmerica.
GigaNerd Nov 30, 2007, 02:15 PM Unfortunately, what China didn't know was that the Aztecs had conquered the Mayans. They get attacked the minute they set shore on MesoAmerica!
The Ethiopians are cut off from trade resources, so the Republic of Congo decides it is time to attack. Nobody knows how, but soon the Ethiopian capital was under control of the ROC.
Meanwhile, the HGE raids the Celtic Americans. They lose half of there cities in Russia to them.
Back at India, Gandhi II is assasinated, and the empire has a new ruler named Arsoka. Turns out that he really sucks in politics.
The Japanese have not been important until now, when they go and repopulate the Aborigine land known as Tasmanai. Koritnam sees opportunity also, and they go settle on the Paradise Islands. Tensions are sparking between Koritnam and Japan.
In Josephus, a new religion has sprung up called Mormonism. Even though the faith was founded in Josephus, not many of the people have converted. But, the HGE adopts the new religion and morphs its laws and beliefs to match it. This ensures peace between Josephus and the HGE.
Part of Egypt has gone into rebellion, and most of the population leave to form a new civilization, known as the Maolinese, lead by there leader, Maolin the Great. Egypt is close to collapsing.
Jewish America has adopted slavery. They rename their religion Gump. :mischief:
mr_lewington Nov 30, 2007, 03:01 PM i think we should stick to the realism factor. like things are getting quite unrealistic like how the native americans were supposedly conquering half the world, the native tribes never perceived the idea of a true empire and never ever united. also, east russia was by and large unknown. Like the worlds navys are traveling across the atlantic when they cant even travel in the middle of the mediterannian! it is fun to think of though :)
mr_lewington Nov 30, 2007, 03:10 PM ok now ill go, the Britons, led by th enew leader Edward, push out all remaining native americans from their colonial lands, the Briton lands are now Briton inhabited. The British lose contact with Russian part of empire and all civilization is ruined in NE Russia
cybrxkhan Nov 30, 2007, 04:21 PM The Japanese have not been important until now, when they go and repopulate the Aborigine land known as Tasmanai. Koritnam sees opportunity also, and they go settle on the Paradise Islands. Tensions are sparking between Koritnam and Japan.
this didn't happen at all, because Japan had already joined the Chinese republic-confederation! (which encompasses Central Asia, Northern India, Vietnam, all of SE Asia, China, Mongolia, Korea, and Japan!)
anyhow, once landing upon shore, the Chinese explorers were attacked, and had to retreat to their ships. taking out their flintlock muskets, they blasted the Aztecs to pieces, and fled onboard. sailing down South America, they made contact with a few more people, then returned home with the sad report.
nevertheless, they do tell of many great resources out there. the Emperor and Senate of the China Rep.-Confed. plan to send colonists one day.

Ten medium-size Chinese junks leave, headed eastwards. THeir goal - colonization of an area which will never be known as California.
During the long, hard sea voyage, three of the ships sink in a typhoon. But seven survive nevertheless, and make a colony at a site which will never be known as Los Angeles. The colony, founded on November 21, 519 CE, is named Huang'an. Having about 300 colonists, they make peace with the locals and set about daily life. Finally, after half a year, three of the ships return to China to bring the good news.
Meanwhile, in Egypt, political intrigue and betrayal abounds. The Empire is in shatters, and three clear factions arise - one based in Carthage controlling most of North Africa and Iberia, one based in the Nile Delta controling most of the Nile, and one based in Nubia controlling Southern Egypt. The Pharaoh is now a meaningless figurehead. Finally, in 522 CE, the Pharaoh, Sethmosis VIII, is forced to abdicate. Each of the three factions now claim their leader as the rightful Pharaoh. Rome supports the Nile faction, Josephus supports the Nubian faction, and the HGE supports the Carthaginian faction.
The rebellion of the Persians finally is sucessful, and in 523 CE, Josephus acknowledges Persia as an independent state. Persia, with its capital at Pasagardae, now controls the Iranian Plateau, parts of Bactria, and Mesopotamia. It immediately begins to centralize, and establish friendly relations with China and India.
aronnax Nov 30, 2007, 07:40 PM Let me change something Cybrx to make things more interesting.
However the Persians remenber the cruel oppression of the Chinese in the East. Never forgiving them a massive genocide occurs killing all ethnic Chinese, thousands flee as Persia cuts off all ties with the East between Europe and Asia. Central Asia which has been living off European Trade, collaspes and breaks away from China becoming fragments of states. In Australia, with the Aroboginal Empire destroyed, the Chinese-Indian soldiers leave it in the dust. The continent is now empty. The Japanese begin sucessful colonization of SEA, bring much of Eastern Indonesia and the Phillipines under Japanese Control. South India breaks free from civil war and establishes the State of Maroiup. Their friendly links with the weak, vunerable Malays in SEA brings the other half under their rule as vassals. Eygptian/Carthage Gaul Breaks loose of the HGE and sets an independent state of Gruieo. Italy breaks away and wars into several states. Britian loses contact with America when a civil war begin.
Finally, The Indians of the Northen Kerioule State wants to unite the Bengal Indians with them and war is soon declared on China. Japan takes this time to strike on Korea. This begins the War of...
cybrxkhan Nov 30, 2007, 07:45 PM For the last time - Japan is part of the Chinese Republic Confederation! :)
But lets just say they are a rebel group in the civil war.
Anyhow...
The Second Chinese Civil War begins in 530 CE, with India trying to support the Japanese faction. The Senate and Emperor try desperately to stop the situation, but cannot do anything. The Central Asian states agree to help their former master so long as China makes no claims on them. China agrees.
However, Maroiup (India) takes Northern India by 532 CE, much to the displeasure of the Sun (Talikman) and Trung (Vietnam) factions which controlled it. Chaos begins to take over, worsened as the RIBEN (japan) faction sucesfully takes Korea and parts of eastern China. The Trung and the Sun, realizing that the Republic-Confederation is collapsing, declare themselves as warlords. The Trung first quickly persuade the rest of SE Asia to join them, while the Sun continue battling the Indians in Kashmir and the Himalayas.
The Trung advance on the faction of Liu (South China), conquering it. The remaining two other factions, Wei (Northern China) and Mongolia, fearful of the Japanese, defect to the House of Trung by 541 CE.
Marioup and the House of Sun finally make a peace treaty in late 541 CE, where a border is established along Kashmir. Returning to the civil war, the House of Sun decides to join the House of Trung for fear of the Riben (Japan) faction.
The House of Trung (Vietnam) and the Riben are deadlocked in a war for control of all East Asia and for the rightful sucessor to the Chinese republic-confederation...
but meanwhile, the Chinese colony of Huang'an, the size of about 1 million peoples, is isolated from East Asia. Its leader, the lord Yi Jian, declares the Republic-Kingdom of Huangguo, which encompasses most of southern California...

cybrxkhan Nov 30, 2007, 08:16 PM As the Chinese civil war drones on, so does the Egyptian civil war.
Carthage, now known as Spain, declares itself not part of the Egyptian Empire and renounces its claim on the throne of the Pharaoh. It now supports the delta faction against the Nubians.
Nubia is taken by the Nile Faction in 553 CE, and the Egyptian Empire is reunited after 31 years of civil war, albeit without Spain (Carthage). Led by the strong-willed and capable Khnumosis V, they are deeply resentful of Josephus, which allied itself with the Nubians. Persia and Rome are also resentful of Josephus.
Thereforth, Egypt, Persia, and Rome sign an alliance to defeat Josephus. On 558 CE, they declare war on Josephus. The three pronged attack takes the old and declining of Josephus too quickly.
Persia takes much of eastern Arabia, while Egypt takes East Africa and West Arabia, and Rome takes the northern Levant. Signing a peace treaty in 571 CE, Josephus is reduced to a meager territory around Judea and Israel.
---
Meanwhie, in the Americas, the Chinese colony turned state of Huangguo expands, now having territory stretching from the Bay of San Francsico to the Rio Grande. It comes into contact with the Jewish State in the Americas in 555 CE, and the Aztec Empire in 557 CE. Wielding superior gun technology, the Aztecs and the Cuban Jews do not dare attack them.
Speaking of technology... meanwhile, in the Chinese civil war, another progress has been made in military technology. Li Huabing, a Japanese polymath who defected to the Vietnamese side after the Japanese killed his brother, manages to set off the first rocket in 574 CE. Thuogh not much of a weapon, it can cause much fear and destroy a small, but decent, number of men.
The House of Trung equips the primitive rocket to some of its artillery divisions, and has diasasterous effects on the Japanese army at the battle of Luogeng, Korea, in 581 CE. Taking the oppurtunity, the House of Trung arms more artillery divisions and even ships with the new primitive rockets. They launch an amphibious invasion of Japan. The Japanese fleet, however, is destroyed by a typhoon. The Emperor of the House of Trung, Yongdi III, takes this as a sign of the gods' approval.
Japan falls by 590 CE, and the Chinese republic-confederation is reestablished by the House of Trung after sixty years of brutal civil war. The Senate is also reestablished, and, in a measure to prevent any future civil wars, further policies in centralization are taken.
The effect of the civil war on the Chinese mindset was very clear. Before the war, many Chinese thuoght of themselves as citizens of their respective factions, not of the empire of a whole. But now, they see themselves as citizens of the empire of a whole.

With Central Asia China gone, there was a power gap in the region, between the insane fighting, one group emerged top the Afgans. With their Capital in Kabul, their Rule extended from the Arabian Sea to the Capian. They adopted Judaism and become the middle man between Asia and Europe as the King was a cousin of the Persian Throne. From this they became rich and powerful, controlling goods from India and China. In Japan revolts and riots kicked the Chinese out of the their Island Empire, from that moment on, they adopted isolation, only contact between the colonies and the mainland.
In Europe during the major Civil war of China, many things happen to the Kingdoms that ruled. Spain, spilt into two by their Jewish and Christian sides descend into a civil war. Massive fighting takes place as Egypt supports the Jewish South and the HGE sends help and aid to the Christian North. Tensions increase as the Spanish Civil war goes on. In 523 AD 4 years after the war begin with many lives lost end in a stalemate however, tensions are as high as ever nearly exploding into a full blown out war. Meanwhile, Rome having beaten back Josephus takes anatonlia and becomes a well defended state secure, working together with Egypt agaisnt the HGE. Emperor Reigutte of HGE is meanwhile preparing a huge crusading army agaisnt the heretic Romans. Drawing support from Britian and France, The Crusade bound for Constantinople, leave two months are the Spanish Civil War. The Second War of the Medditerrean has begun when Eygpt declares war on the Germans and lands a massive invasion force in France. They Proceed to plow through the Alps as they Strike the German Capital of Salzburg. HGE, alarmed trys to call back the Crusading Force but it was too late. Trapped in his capital Reigutte IV, begins to try and live out the Siege of Salzburg. Meanwhile the Crusading Army marches throught the Balkans terrorizing all villages and towns. They meet up with the Byzantine Army and the Massive Battle of Belgrade starts. However, with superior horse Cavalry, thousands of Germans are shot dead routing back to HGE.
In Central Asia, many Turks flee from regime of Afganistan. Land in Anatonlia....

GigaNerd Dec 01, 2007, 09:37 AM An Aborigine who survived the genocide, known as Steve Irwin, decides to head west to find somewhere profitable to live. He sails west, and he reaches Easter Island. The natives haven't destroyed eachother, 'cause this is an alternate history. They've grown into a decent, but lonely community. They are lead by their ruler Aldof Hilter. They are considering to expand their community to Chile. Steve Irwin sails off again and reaches the Galapagos Islands. There, he makes his home. To bad for him, because somebody knows he's there.....
Meanwhile, the ROC gains a new ruler. Well, two new rulers, actually. They are known as the Marion brothers. King Marion, and King Luigin. They are very good rulers, helping the local population instead of fighting pointless wars.
King Arsoka of India makes a terrible mistake. He insults the Chinese ruler, Emporer Zedongo, by calling him "Baldy". War starts between India and China.
An Ethiopian refugee by the name of Yara Zaqob, hearing of the rockets in Asia, imagines the idea of a big rocket that could blow up an entire city (AKA: Nukes), but he utterly knows that they don't have the technology for that kind of thing. He writes these plans on a scroll, and hides it in a Carthaginian synagouge, hoping that it will be found one day when they can be put to use. ;)

cybrxkhan Dec 01, 2007, 12:07 PM In Asia...
The Chinese begin attacks on India, with occasional raids on the nothern and eastern borders starting in 531 CE. However, a full scale invasion is launched in 533 CE, and, with the primitive rockets and superior guns, easily defeat the Indian armies. The Indians, knowing that they would lose, sue for peace. However, the then Emperor, Zhanzong, still enraged at the insult, refuses peace, and conquers North India. Finally, in 536 CE, he agrees for peace, and keeps North India. Because North India was previously part of China, the populace didn't have too many issues being assimilated. China then retained status as power in the east, a ridiculously strongly united coalition of states, eventually renaming the entire country as the United Federation of Chinese States in 540 CE (UFCS).
Meanwhile, in Africa, a new state has emerged - Swahililand, which appeared on the world stage around 500 as a minor player in the trans-Indian-Ocean trade route. However, with the ascension of King Alawma II in 539, the country was set to rule East Africa and overtake the Ethiopians. Despite being a Buddhist country (because of the Buddhist Missionaries sent by the UFCS state of Vietnam), Swahililand attacked Ethiopia and sucessfully overtook its southern half by 545.
Meanwhile, in the Americas, a Mayan rebellion begins against the Aztecs in 529 CE. They are supported by the Chinese colony-turned-state of Huangguo (based in California), and the Huangguoese even send them gun technology. With this, the Mayans sucessfully overthrow their Aztec oppressors, and convert form the violent Aztec form of Judaism to Buddhism/Chinese reliiogns. By the peace treaty of Teotihuacan in 542 CE, the reformed Mayan empire streches from Oaxaca to Panama, while the Aztecs have been reduced in their size to southern Mexico.

However, because of the long distance and weakness of the British power as comparable with other world powers such as China or Egypt, Britain has no choice but to once more grant the East American colonies independence.
Meanwhile, China rejects Britain's plea for help against Rome, because China was once Rome's great ally in World War I. China establishes true contact, meanwhile, with the Buddhist Swahili Empire in East Africa (as mentioned in my post above).
In 570 CE, the Chinese Emperor Guozong II and the Senate agree for an attack on Japan. Launching a massive amphibious assault on 573 CE, the Chinese only win because the Japanese fleet was, once more, destroyed by a typhoon. Taking over Japan, over half the populace die in the ensuing chaos, and Japan is completely assimilated back into the Chinese republic-confederation.
mr_lewington Dec 01, 2007, 03:57 PM dont mean to mess u up but why on the latest map does it look like teh new world british colonies split? far from it, they've gone on 2 own like half the new world

Cybrx, you cheerleading is a little bit irritating now. But anyway im going to touch all the aspects of the world.
572 AD, after the humilating defeat of the Indians by the Chinese in the "War of Words" Indian scientists were ordered to replicate the most advanced technologies of China, after Three years of experimenting, espionage and failure, they sucessfully created and improved a Chinese creation. The Rocket Gun, capable of firing up to 40 rockets at a time with better a more explosive gun powder. Hitched upon their elephants these things are almost invincible from a distance. They also copied a gun of similar standard to the Chinese ones. The Indian King, Yuiooplereu rejoiced at the outstanding breakthrough. Sadly he died a year later drawing plans for future warring in SEA. His son, Visguhuin VI took the throne. Tall, dashing and handsome many girls chased him, however only one girl could have her. Her name, was Queen Shanaini of Maroiup. The Southren Indian State and the Northen Indian State were united in marriage in 577AD.
Meanwhile, in the Middle East, another great empire was united. Pitched by the Eygptian Emperor and Persian King. It was decided that their children shall wed and the Great Empires of Jewishdom would be united. By 567AD, it was reconginzed. The great Jewish Caliph was reborn. After intimdating Josephus, the state gave up its soverignity and was added to the Caliph. The Jewish Spanish, also joined the Caliph, hoping protection from the North.
The remaining Japanese refugees flee to their colonies now building up the greatest fortification ever, they fortified themselves inside the city with a Drill IV Crossbowman.
Two new states arose in Eastern Europe, the first was Great O'land, and the second Mushshah. However they are under greater threat by the Turkish Barbarian Hordes. May they survive the coming years.
In America, the Mayan State was reformed and the Southen Half of the Empire revolted away, chasing the Aztecs to the North. The Jewish Americans remained silent.
Does anyone know what happen to the great Jewish Fleet that was suppose to fight the Buddhislam Union of WWI?

The World at 580AD
cybrxkhan Dec 01, 2007, 08:26 PM Claimed! I'll be a little more balanced this time. :D
...
580 AD -
India and China stand as the most technologically advanced nations on earth, as well as one of the most culturally advanced.
China, remembering its colony of the past, decides to take a risk, and sends another fleet in 584 AD, headed for the Americas. Making landfall near our Peru, however, they are chased away by the Tiwanaku Empire, which has just recently gained power around the area. The fleet then sails on northward, finally establishing base near Panama, which they call Lungban.
Meanwhile, India also wants to join in on the quest for the new world, hoping to convert more people to Hinduism to best out China. Sending their own fleet, they move across and land in Northern South America, founding the colony of Tayavara around where our Ecuador would be.
The Chinese fleet that made Lungban, meanwhile, sail north, reinstigating contact with the Mayans, as well as the Aztecs. Then... they come into contact with Huangguo, the Chinese state in the Americas! Realizing that this was a former colony, the Chinese admiral in charge of the fleet demands that the Huangguo rejoin the Chinese Confederation-Republic. However, the Huangguoese refuse.
---
Meanwhile, elsewhere, the Jewish Caliphate declares war on Rome in 582 AD. However, Rome, still possessing much more advanced gun weaponry, repel them at the battle of Antioch in 583 CE. The Romans and the Caliphate sign a peace treaty, and agree to engage in peaceful trade.
However, in North America, meanwhile, the British Ex-Colony is facing problems. Decline in the economy and population stagnation is taking its toll, and, worse, a new state has arised - the Iroqouis Confederation.
Emperor2 Dec 01, 2007, 11:44 PM Claim.
The Chinese raise an army to force the Huangguo into submission. The Huanggou still refuse, and swear that any attempt made to seize control will be resisted.
----
The Iriquois Nation, despite a modern republican government and culture, is also somewhat warlike, and threatens the ex-British colony for control of the area. War seems iminate, but is currently being held at bay via massive army build-ups, something that is becoming severley troublesome for the ex-british colony, due to the problems in the economy and economic stagnation.
cybrxkhan Dec 02, 2007, 09:37 AM claim..................
---
596 CE.
However, China realizes that there is the fragile situation with India - both of them are colonizing the new world, and China needs all the help it needs. Worse, China has just learned India has made a new colony in Alaska, where our Anchorage is.
After sending another colony towards where our Seattle would be, China sends a delegation to Huangguo, acknowledging their independence and asking for an alliance. They also send a delegation to the Mayans, hoping for an alliance (as the Mayans have half-converted to Buddhism and Chinese religions).
Meanwhile, in Europe, however, the HGE has gained a new leader, Adolf II, who vows to return the HGE to great power. Immediately he attacks Gaul and Italia, and, the states, too weak to do anything, submit. He then moves to the west and attacks.
Growing too large, Rome, Britain, and the Caliphate are fearful that Adolf may turn into a great threat to the world.
aronnax Dec 12, 2007, 05:19 AM I will not let you die!
CLEAR!
600 AD, with France and much of Central and Northen Italy subdued, the HGE turns their attention agaisnt Chispania, the Northern Spanish State. Their Invasion was swift, crossing the Ardeenes and into the Iberian Penisula rapidly. The Spanish Cities fell quickly and the last stronghold of Toledo was being sieged eight months after the intial attacks. Alfonso III, the King had recieved a message from their old enemy, the Jewish Caliphate, promising aid to the Spanairds for their fear of the common enemy.
As the German Iberian Army fight on, an armada of ships have landed in Dover, England. 50 thousand troops pour into the southren English Seaport and unleashed terror into the Heart of England. Having killed the English King Wallace at the Battle of Imdoomdamit, German troops occupy London and command all of Southren England. However, Wallace's only child and heir, the newly crowned Queen Beautica, begins to raise an army to fight the "Imperial puddingheads". Graceful and Elegant, 23 year old Beautica recruits troops from the countryside to fight with their warrior Queen who is skilled in the arts of combat. The redhead would don her armour and ride through towns and villages, giving inspiring patriotic speeches that would lead to massive crowds cheering. She has raised an army of 40 thousand, retrained and reequipped and planed a counterattack and a revolt in London. She is ready to take back her throne.
The Third and Final Invasion Army of the Germans attack the city of Bordich in the Roman Empire. The sucess of the more advance German tactics called Arowkertch was put in used where the archers would rained arrows down before Cavalry is used to mow down what is left. Bosnia falls to HGE.
The Great Patriot War has begun

Oh...forget it. Im think im just going to keep writting until my ghost gives.
601 AD, 12th of May
It has been one year since the bloody struggle im Europe begin. The "Great Patriots War" as it is called outside of HGE has claimed the lives of hundreds of thousands as three large Germanic Armies, stormed into Europe with the impending goal to conquer. France, Wessex, Lombardia, Leon, Castile, Aragon and the Balkans have been overran by German troops.
In the Italian Peninsula, the war had extended into the south and Naples was under seiged. Urbeto IV, King of Naples having lost a battle aiding the Vatican Troops in Rome, is not going to let his Royal Capital fall to the "idiot Germans" Press for time, he awaits the Caliphs reinforcements before sallying out to attack.
601 AD, 18th May
Beautica assembled her closest advisors to review the strategy. Her attack was to be fast, suprising and in all devasting. Her spies had indicated all German barracks in the city and she planned to purge clean the streets of London. In the city, her citizens had prepared traps in the corners and streets. They have been informed to revolt and rally with their troops as soon as the attacked started. In small Regiments, troops entered the city over the week, scaling the walls, crawling in the river, anything to enter the city.
As night fell, the city went silent. Everyone was waiting for the signal to begin the revolt. They waited...and waited and waited. And their signal was sent. A large bon fire had been lit on a dominating hill by Beautica herself, the revolt has begin. Troops and citizens storm though the Barracks and army camps, butchering the German army. Admist the chaos, the gate to the city was lowered and the main English Army entered the city. Within Midnight, London, had been recaptured and the Germans repluse to the sea.
601 AD, 29th of May,
The navy of the Jewish Caliph has landed troops in Bacerlona, after fierce fighting. The city had falled. With that, the Caliph pushes South to Valencia to meet up with the struggling Spanish Army.
Meanwhile, German troops had crossed the Boshopus and entered Nicea

TheLastOne36 Jan 02, 2008, 07:59 PM Claimed... And will deliver Poland... BUT will post tomorrow. if someone wants to play it before tomorow, go ahead. *seems like this thread is dieing though*
but how does this sound? Polish farmers of the vistula get angry when the germans try to turn them into slaves, form up an army, and attack german soldiers in area, poles nearby decide to help there fellow poles and a nation is born. Although a bitter fight for independence will continue for some time. Other nations in western and southern europe take this as an opportunity to make a final push on germany and who knows what happens then ;) Somewhere between those Czechs convert us poles to christanity and we become loyal to rome or something. What do you think? :D i'll post the full version tomorow.
TheLastOne36 Jan 03, 2008, 09:36 AM 601 AD, 4th of June,
(we're talking about Nicea, the byzantine succesor state right?) A request for help is sent to Trebizond and the Armenian Empire for reinforcements. Armenia declines the request for help but Trebizond shows up with an army of 5,000 the next day. Knowing that the german retreated north to a nearby Bulgarian Village, but they were greeted by the local bulgarian army. Most of the German soldiers we're captured and sold as slaves to the arabians. The Bulgarians know they are now an enemy of the germans and ally themselves with Nicea, Trebizond, and the Armenian kingdom. later on, under the Nicean ruler, Palaeologus, the states unite to form the Greco-Roman Empire. This is known as the Defeat of HGE in the SE.
601 AD, 23rd of June,
The Jewish Caliphate along with the Aragonese and Spanish empire (currently in Valencia) start capturing and destroying german outposts, sentry's, etc. in Valencia, but the german army of 7,000 strong greets this army with the Seige of Sueca(some Valencian city i randomly picked out of wikipedia with moorish roots). The Germans offered them to join them or they'll destroy them. The Suecan's refuse and the famous seige of Sueca begans! General Karl Wolfgang van Gilbert (dunno if that makes sense in german...), led the seige and was one of the few who survived, said "the arrows rained down on us like a thunderstorm, went though my men like Swiss Cheese (switzerland wasn't even made then :/ ) and at the end there was an ocean of blood with little islands of body's with arrows stuck through them." (had to put a quote somewhere in the story right?). The German army was planning on facing an army of Jews, Aragonese and Valencians, not some weak garrison at a small town. The truth is, the real army didn't get to Sueca untill after the battle! The Army starts to prepare for the battles that lay ahead in the Iberia. This is known as the beggining of the decline of German rule in the Iberian Penninsula.
601 AD, 1st of July,
The HGE needs troops fast. They Urgently need reinforcements the Iberia and the SE. Adolf II starts a conference in Hamburg. "Who could we can take advantage of anytime we want, are loyal and will fight for there empire?" "hmm.... POLES"
General Karl Wolgang van Gilbet " but you said 'are loyal and will fight for there empire' Poles would never fight for anyone but there empire. There'll be no way to convince them either."
Adolf II " Poland isn't a state yet. It's 601 AD!, Poland isn't suppose to appear for another 100 years or so. Right now, there in our empire!"w
General K. Wolfgang van Gilbet " Hmmm, Sounds like a plan. Leave me with some troops, i'll go to poland myself! "
---
And so the Plot to include poland begans...
---
601 AD, 23 of July,
K. Wolfgang van Gilbert arrives in a small village along the Vistula and makes a speech about going to war with germans.
"we aren't going!" said one of the villagers.
K. Wolfgang van Gilbert " your going or we'll raze the village"
"then your gonna raze it!" another villager yelled out.
The village was razed but many of the villagers fleed the battle in time to the nearby villages in the south. The Army tried to follow them south later.
Sobolewski I (i know i'm uncreative, in 1400 years from here there'll be a football player named sobolewski...), the Chieftien of a neaby village started to raise up an army of villagers from 4 villages. The Army finally found the village the villagers escaped from. But they were greeted by an army of Villagers! The trained troops quickly decimated the villager army, BUT a group of some of the best troops in the world, troops who gaurded the Vatican, who came to convert the poles to christanity arrived at the town. These troops, outnumbered, still destroyed the German forces with ease. (think of it as the 600 AD version of the Preatorians :p ).
601 AD, 27th of July,
A group of Polish Assasins arrive at Munich to talk with Adolf II about a "peace between Germans and Poles" and came with peace offerings. (got the idea from the failed assanitation of Qin Shi Huang :D ) 1 Assasin walked up to Adolf II and opened up a Box. Inside the box was General Karl Wolfgang van Gilbert head!!!
The Assasin said to Adolf II "This is WAR" He then ducked as the other Assasin threw a knife and it went right though Adolf II's neck. The Assasin were captured and executed, but there names will forever be legendary in Polish History. Wih Adolf II Dead, Will the HGE decline? Adolf III, Adolf II's eldest son takes the thrown and i'm to lazy to complete the Asian part, so will someone take over?

Pieman Jan 05, 2008, 08:37 AM Over the years, relations between China and India become increasingly strained, with both powers competing to colonise as much of the North American continent as possible. With various colonies springing up all over the American west coast, it only becomes a matter of time before both nations go to war. Eventually, the spark is provided when Indian colony fleet passing through the Malacca Straits is attacked by Chinese pirates. Despite the Chinese government's denial of responsibility, the Indian government declares war on the Chinese confederation. Thus, on 602 AD, begins the Great War of the Orient (if you've got a better title, let me know).
Pieman Jan 05, 2008, 09:05 AM Despite the outbreak of war between India and China however, neither side would fight on the soil of either country for quite some time due to the geographic and political difficulties faced by both sides. The Himalayas prevented any direct contact between the two powers and Persia was denying access to the armies of both powers, remaining steadfastly neutral in this conflict (for the time being, at least). Thus, both countries had to send troops into the dense jungles of Western Burma (modern Bangladesh), an area which greatly impeded the movements of large armies. Soldiers from India and China poured into Western Burma by mid 602 and for several months, the Indians and Chinese continuously fought each other with neither side being able to outmanoeuvre in such difficult terrain and both sides suffering considerably from sickness and disease which were rife in the jungle. Tens of thousands died from diseases such as malaria and dysentery, and the morale of the soldiers steadily worsened with the passing months, eventually leading to large mutinies on both sides. By late 602, a bloody stalemate had ensued, with neither side with the upper hand and casualties climbing to ever higher levels. Soon however, a decisive turning point in the war would soon be reached but it would not be due to the actions of either India or China...
Pieman Jan 05, 2008, 09:44 AM As the decades of the 6th century (500's, just to be clear) went by, the predominance of China in the Confederation became increasingly evident. Not only did it possess the largest military and population of the conglomerate but it's culture was also overwhelming. The Chinese language became the de facto form of communication between confederate nations and Chinese artistic works became widespread. Chinese poetry was read and quoted in the Vietnamese court and Chinese pottery was awash in Korean markets.
By the end of the 6th century, the people of Japan had become greatly concerned that their culture, and even their national identity, would become wholly absorbed by China. On New Year's Day of 603, with the Chinese army tied down in Western Burma, a dramatic coup d'etat was staged in Japan, with the Japanese members of the Senate of the Chinese Confederation assassinated, and a local lord, Hiroshi Tokugawa, proclaimed Emperor of Japan.
Within a month, the Chinese had organised an invasion fleet numbering hundreds of vessels transporting 100,000 troops to subjugate Japan and reabsorb it into the Confederacy. However, in a reverse of previous events, the Chinese fleet was ravaged by a typhoon and the remnants of the invasion fleet were swiftly crushed by the Japanese. The Japanese then continuously harried the Chinese coast, razing many coastal villages and even capturing several Chinese ports.
Encouraged by Japanese resistance, several other nations began seceding from the Confederation. There was widespread discontent across the Confederation, partly due to similar fears the Japanese had of cultural and national erosion, and partly due to the high taxes levied on the citizens of the Confederation in order to maintain the armies in Western Burma. By April 603 Korea split off from the Confederation and signed an alliance with Japan against China. Vietnam soon followed suit and the colonies of Japan eventually sided with its motherland rather than fight against it alongside China. Faced with such a great drop in revenue via taxes, by September 603 the Chinese could no longer afford to pay tribute to placate the barbarian tribes of Manchuria and Mongolia, which resulted in numerous barbarian tribes raiding Northern China in "re-compensation". At the end of 603, China was feeling immense strain, with its economy shambling under the weight of having to support over a million troops and the armies of China struggling to fight off so many opponents. Was there any hope for China?

Meanwhile, in North America, the state of Huangguo accepts the Confederation's offer of an alliance and sees the war as an opportunity to expand and consolidate its hold on the west coast. The numerous Indian colonies scattered across the west coast were quickly overrun and absorbed into the much larger state of Huangguo. By 603, the entire west coast of what will never become known as the United States becomes taken over by the Huangguonese and the tiny Indian colony in Alaska, utterly cut off from the outside world and suffering from the cold and starvation, eventually dies out.
The Aztec Empire to the south, becoming fearful of Huangguo's power, secretly raises an army and tries to form an alliance with the Jewish colonies against Huangguo. Further south, the state of Lungban struggles to survive against a hostile environment and hostile native inhabitants. In North America, the Iroquis Confederacy prepares to invade and crush the British ex-colonies. However, they are taken by suprise and caught unprepared when the colonials make a suprise attack on the Confederacy, in a desperate fling to avoid being crushed by the larger and more powerful Iroquis Confederacy. The fight is on...
