View Full Version : [Design] Silver March Lizardfolk Darque Nov 30, 2007, 02:15 AM I've been racking my brain for awhile, but can't think of a good design for the Silver March Lizardfolk flag. Any ideas? Darque Dec 04, 2007, 10:55 AM winddelay and I discussed this a bit last night. How does a turtle shell sound? For colors, I am thinking of using a grey background and black foreground. strategyonly Dec 04, 2007, 11:05 AM Something with green in it to offset the other colors would be nice. strategyonly Mar 12, 2008, 07:24 AM How about a lizard frog rider? Or a Frog catapult, or a frog Ballista? A giant slug? A lurker (a frog with eyes that are elongated on the top of the head) that way when coming out of the water all you will see first is the eyes?. Basilisk? Just some ideas? Darque Mar 12, 2008, 08:16 AM A basilisk may be a good idea for later; but as for frog units, I don't think they have a place with lizardfolk, as they are amphibians and not lizards. Psychic_Llamas Mar 12, 2008, 08:56 PM what about dark green background and silvery foreground? Darque Mar 12, 2008, 11:46 PM PL, The flag has been created since this thread was started. It looks like http://diabolicstudios.net/images/SilverMarch.png Psychic_Llamas Mar 13, 2008, 08:26 AM nice one, looks great :) strategyonly Mar 13, 2008, 01:49 PM I am working on four Lizardfolks civs with the skins you'll provided but all the same units in each, if thats ok? rocklikeafool Mar 17, 2008, 01:42 PM Hey, I just thought of something for the Lizardfolk. They did this in FFH2 recently in what the maker of the expansion patch called Fall Further. Anyway, wherever the Lizardfolk settle, swampland and marsh grows up. It gives the Lizardfolk more food than normal land and hampers their enemies by slowing movement speed. Also, the roads are replaced by paths and the swampland never covers resources. I know that might be a lot of work to implement. Plus, I have no idea if you guys want to do that for the Lizardfolk. Just figured I'd tell you. Darque Mar 17, 2008, 03:52 PM I can add some script to slowly change the land to swamp and jungle. I propose the following: If the plot latitude is < 20 then that plot can turn into jungle. Otherwise the plot will turn into swampland. I can also give lizardfolk units the ability to move unhindered through swamp and jungle terrain. woodelf Mar 17, 2008, 06:23 PM That sounds perfect. Marsh and jungle are lizzie friends. :) PinkPikachu Apr 03, 2008, 06:38 PM I am kind of sad that the only Lizardmen race is barbarian. I think it'd be cool if there was another, more advanced one as well, perhaps like the Reptites from Chrono Trigger. Darque Apr 03, 2008, 08:58 PM You can play as the Lizardfolk in Dragonia. Their only penalty is that they research a little slower. PinkPikachu Apr 03, 2008, 09:59 PM You can play as the Lizardfolk in Dragonia. Their only penalty is that they research a little slower. O.o I...know? I'm am confused by your response... I was merely stating that the fact that their was only one reptilian race in Dragonia was somewhat dissatisfying. I was going to go onto something else, but a brilliant idea popped into my head. Why not a race of Kobolds? Smarter than Deekin ofcourse (little NWN humor there). Darque Apr 04, 2008, 12:08 AM If I were to create another race, it would be either Gnolls or Halflings. It is already planned to do so, but I want to finish the current races first. I played a Gnoll once in a DnD campaign. It ruined my pelt when someone threw an Acid Flask at me... Darque Apr 04, 2008, 11:17 AM I played a Gnoll once in a DnD campaign.
