Trajan12 Dec 02, 2007, 10:43 PM Y'all know what pisses you off. So spill all that anger out now!
I HATE people who are too forgiving.
This girl I know has a friend, they used to date, and if I could ever get my hands on him I'd rip his member off and run it through his ears. He cheated on her multiple times with her friends, called her everything in the book, and still had the nerve to act like a total pig around her.
She still hangs out with him! She says it's cause she likes his bestfriend but his bestfriend isn't even interested in her.
So today I got frustrated, and I just said, and I (loosely) quote.
"You can do whatever the (expletive) you wanna do, as if I give a (expletive). I hope he does every horrible thing short of physical violence to you, cause when you come back to me for comfort, I'll laugh and tell you to your face that I don't give a (expletive).
I feel like a jerk now, and she probably won't talk to me for a week, but boy was it worth it...

ggganz Dec 02, 2007, 11:03 PM I hate people like Firaxis and Wal-Mart that think that just because they don't like something means nobody else will. Firaxis got rid of the Glance tab because they thought it was ugly. If people don't like it..................DON'T LOOK AT IT!!!!!!!

Good on you. If you play with fire you will get burned. People need to learn when a person just needs to left in the dust, although people do this wonderfully to perfectly good people though.
philippe Dec 03, 2007, 01:43 AM I wish I could manipulate the concepts of time and space...

Very true, and hopefully it won't conclude anytime soon. The ending montage will be annoying as all hell.
aronnax Dec 03, 2007, 11:51 AM I rant about this threads creation was to provide postcounts for people
Ansar Dec 03, 2007, 02:13 PM People who walk around with their Bluetooth headset stuck in their ear even though they're not using it.
I hate them too! :high5:
Trajan12 Dec 03, 2007, 03:51 PM There are too many freshman at my highschool. And they're too obnoxious. I think hazing is stupid, but I'd not lift a finger to stop it against some people.
lord_joakim Dec 03, 2007, 04:26 PM I hate that I have to subscribe to this thread so that I can keep up ranting!!
GoodEnoughForMe Dec 03, 2007, 04:28 PM I hate not wanting to work, not wanting to study, and instead sleeping, foruming, surfing the internet, and looking up porn all day. My parents are going to kill me if they ever learn of my real grades.

Veritass Dec 03, 2007, 05:02 PM When I forget to shake up my V8.
Oh, the humanity!!
I will pray for you, my friend. Other people may rant about comparatively silly things: having to do homework to learn at school, poverty, the hardships of life, and of course, Swedishguy's ongoing struggles with being, well, Swedish.
But you -- YOU -- have touched my heart. Normally I am calloused to the relatively minor annoyances of genocide, war, religious conflict, and the evils of both capitalism and communism. But your plight, your willingness to share, to reach out and expose your personal pain to the world -- this has penetrated my normal shields and zeroed right into me, and I feel -- nay, I weep -- for your plight. I only hope that your sharing will help others to avoid suffering this terrible calamity for themselves.
I wish that there was something more than I could do. I feel helpless against the onslaught, and fear that this catastrophe will be repeated. If only there was some organization that was working against this scourge, that I might be able to do more. Perhaps if I sold all my possessions, I could help them to make even a small dent in this problem.
Sure, they are those that would be skeptical, and even accuse you of bringing this upon yourself. Some would be so crass as to ask you why you did not shake up your beverage. Talk about pouring salt into the wound: just blame the victim, why don't you? Leave this poor person alone. Haven't they suffered enough?
I'm sorry. I kind of went off there. But this level of suffering sometimes just overrides my reason and I lost all control. It's almost like a primal empathic reaction to seeing another soul in torment. Go with God, my friend.
GoodEnoughForMe Dec 03, 2007, 05:14 PM ^^ Is that a sarcastic post or a serious one? Because I don't think anyone on this planet is in a position to criticize another for seemingly trivial complaints, nor should it be expected that we never have them.
Nylan Dec 03, 2007, 05:35 PM Abstract concepts like mathematics. Who needs math? Except for them nerds 'n sutch. Why must the world be put through such torture? No wonder a great portion of society never reaches the upper tiers of education.
mythmonster2 Dec 03, 2007, 05:46 PM I hate school. Period.
Veritass Dec 03, 2007, 05:53 PM ^^ Is that a sarcastic post or a serious one? Because I don't think anyone on this planet is in a position to criticize another for seemingly trivial complaints, nor should it be expected that we never have them.
rant:
v. intr.
To speak or write in an angry or violent manner; rave.
v. tr.
To utter or express with violence or extravagance: a dictator who ranted his vitriol onto a captive audience.
I realize that sometimes sarcasm is hard to identify on the net, but I thought this one was obvious. I love a good rant. I love Lewis Black or Carlos Mencia going off on some subject. My point is that saying "I hate it when xxx." does not constitute a rant.
Shylock Dec 03, 2007, 05:59 PM I hate how my friend is in some kind of trouble and seemingly missing. He was also all depressed it seems when we graduated and I doubt it has gotten better.
. .. .. .. ., he had better SAT scores than a girl who graduated THIRD IN THE CLASS OF 400, and certainly me.

A sarcastic reaction to an equally sarcastic complaint. I like :)
carmen510 Dec 03, 2007, 07:14 PM The fact of my computer shutting down for no reason, and I can't trace the problem. Its not overheating, not a hardware problem, ARGH!
Slaughter Dec 03, 2007, 07:16 PM I hate mathematics. **** mathematics. Mathematics sucks. After the sixth grade, I'm not going to need it. It's too specialised and complicated for a average joe like me.
GoodEnoughForMe Dec 03, 2007, 07:16 PM I HATE my firggin' graphics card. I hate not being able to buy games as frequently. I hate not being able to have my Wii in my dorm. I hate having a crap load of papers to do in the next week.
Why the hell can't February 10 come already so I can just slouch around and play Smash Bros.?

jeps Dec 03, 2007, 08:50 PM the fact that its 10 pm and i havent eaten dinner, and it doesnt look like a likely prospect either.
Shylock Dec 03, 2007, 09:18 PM It might rain upon the (outdoor) Winter Formal dance I'm going to on Saturday.
This is California, it doesn't rain here. I love the rain, but could it happen some other time?

Either that or Get me a PS3 and Rock Band. Honestly, my PS2 is still the most used console in the house.
jeps Dec 03, 2007, 09:28 PM rock band is amazing!
my rant: I have no consoles it works with. Only Wii.
other rant: hanukkah starts tomorrow night. that means I need to go buy presents for people tomorrow.

Godwynn Dec 03, 2007, 10:34 PM I've never used Vista before, and since I got my new laptop I hate it, hate it, hate it, hate it, hate it.
Elrohir Dec 03, 2007, 10:46 PM I've never used Vista before, and since I got my new laptop I hate it, hate it, hate it, hate it, hate it.
Doesn't it suck? I have it on my new laptop too, and I wish I'd just gotten XP.
I really wasn't sure that Microsoft could screw its customers even more than it had before. Apparently I underestimated them, because Vista really takes the cake.

Mirc Dec 04, 2007, 08:27 AM I'm so glad I decided not to go at the celebration of the national day here! Why? This is why.

Swedishguy Dec 04, 2007, 08:51 AM and of course, Swedishguy's ongoing struggles with being, well, Swedish.

VRWCAgent Dec 04, 2007, 09:04 AM When I forget to shake up my V8.
Do you mean the drink or an internal combustion engine? If the latter, please be careful. You can cause serious back injury to yourself if you improperly shake a Chevy small block.
I've never used Vista before, and since I got my new laptop I hate it, hate it, hate it, hate it, hate it.

I really wasn't sure that Microsoft could screw its customers even more than it had before. Apparently I underestimated them, because Vista really takes the cake.
Y'all will get used to it. I upgraded my system to Vista last March or so and thought I hated it as well. Swore that I would go back to XP as soon as I had a weekend to just do everything over fresh and format my drive, etc. Well, the weekend finally came and I went back to XP...and suddenly was wondering why I didn't like Vista because it was clearly so much better than XP. Yeah, there are a few minor irritations, like the lack of filmstrip view and no resizer powertoy, and UAC takes a bit to get used to (don't shut it off, though, I've run into a few apps that won't work with it off), but overall Vista spanks XP.
Okay, my daily random rant goes out against Chris Koster. He's my State Senator and swapped parties on us awhile back. A newspaper article about him today brought that all back and reminded me how much the guy just torques me off. Up yours, Mr. Senator!

nc-1701 Dec 05, 2007, 09:19 AM I dislike bicyclists who ride through crowds of people at obscene speeds. Disrespectful and dangerous.
I dislike crowds of people who don't move out of the way when I'm bicycling at obcene speeds:mischief:
Seriously when I'm bicycling up to a crowd of peeople have usually go to one side of the path, and the other half go to the other side. Leaving like 2 feet for me to bike through... If all of you morons moved to one side when you saw me coming it wouldn't be a peoblem.
For the record I always slow down when this happens. It does piss me off though.

Mirc Dec 06, 2007, 08:59 AM Found out some horrible news yesterday from an article in a website.
Today I found out not only the are true, they are much worse than I expected.
I'm really sad... or angry... or... I really have no idea how I'm feeling right now, but it's not good. It's always worse when you hear them from a public source, like a newspaper or news website. I can't even find a smiley to express my feeling. It's like some kind of nostalgic anger, mixed with sadness.

Swedishguy Dec 08, 2007, 11:35 AM Our exams are the week after break ends. You've got it far better, IMHO. At least you will remember what you learned and have a better chance of passing.
So if you happen to be sick the day of the assesment, and you don't have any chance to take it because the term is about to end, that's OK for you?
Nylan Dec 08, 2007, 12:45 PM So if you happen to be sick the day of the assesment, and you don't have any chance to take it because the term is about to end, that's OK for you?
That happens either way. The only difference is recovering over break...or recovering while all the new material is begun, leaving you far behind.

This is not a true rant, more an emotional thinking.
I don't feel very good right now. The fact that I was asked a simple question by japanrocks12 in #fiftychat and answered it truthfully has < maybe > made me unliked in here. People thought of me as a wannabee pimp because of what I said. They started mocking me altogether, laughing of what I said, which ensured they felt a sharing bond, making another person go down in the hierarchy. That enabled, of course, themselves to move up the hierarchic ladder.
Pull yourselves together, #fiftychatters, seriously, you had no reason to do what you did. I wont be offensive now.

Drool4Res-pect Dec 09, 2007, 06:52 PM Y'all know what pisses you off.

Drool4Res-pect Dec 09, 2007, 07:12 PM Oh... man...
I am starting to loathe my part time job. I work in a Boston Pizza kitchen, at the salad and nacho station. I've been working there for a month. To tell the truth, the reason I hate it is because I'm bad at it. I was fine at the beginning when nothing was expected of me, but with senority comes less help and higher expectations, and now I'm drowning. Today I requested being transfered to scullery (dishwashing), because if somebody yells "YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE THOSE NACHOS IN THE MICROWAVE YET?!?" at me one more time I'm probably going to burn the place down!
Anybody have a similar story?

The horrible anime girl is the reason behind the borrowing of Perf's avatar.
The Yankee Dec 11, 2007, 05:24 PM With me, you can have both!
Now for the umpteenth edition of my complaints against the United States Postal Service:
Last week I got an envelope from the USPS "welcoming" me to Brooklyn. Okay, they're almost 22 1/2 years late, but I'll take it. Turns out, they were welcoming my change of address from North Carolina to New York. WTF? Whatever...maybe now they can finally start delivering the mail where it's supposed to go. After all, it said that it will only apply to my name. Plus they threw in coupons for stores that are nowhere near here and I'd need a car to drag the crap back home, anyway.
So yesterday, I got my father's American Express bill. Addressed in his name as usual, but with the USPS sticker saying "Notify sender of new address" and gives MY address with MY name on it. Worse, it was dated December 1st and it ONLY arrived here yesterday, the 10th!
Why does the USPS have this policy of hiring the illiterate or just plain stupid!? God forbid two people have the same last name, even though our first names are nothing alike. I don't even think I should move from my craphole since nobody will ever get their mail ever again!
God damn, I hate the USPS!
Ansar Dec 11, 2007, 06:16 PM Several things:
I studied until Midnight last night for a History Quiz today and the teacher never gave the damn quiz.
I get an 82% percentile on my PSAT and, I mean, I'm not completely dissapointed, but I expected higher and this girl comes complaining that she got 96% percentile again acting like if she had gotten an "F" something
In Math class, we had a quiz today, and turns out one of the questions was a trick question. The answer to the problem was Error - unsolvable, I mean, seriously, WTF? He's supposed to be preparing us for the test at the end of the year, not a "Figure out which one doesn't make sense!" competition. And another thing about the math quiz, I may not even get the "A" because the teacher may be an ... and decide to give me half-credit because I didn't show my work. I got the right answer, isn't that enough? (He knows I don't cheat, so what gives?)
Trajan12 Dec 11, 2007, 06:40 PM My mother's coming home, there's no one here and she got her pursed snatched like right in front of the house. DETROIT FTW once more!? Nobody ever listens when I say GTFO of here though! So you know, she's not hurt, I don't care. Maybe people should start listening to me now.

Hey, I already feel you on that, though I've never been to Detroit to see it. Glad your mother is safe though, but hopefully it'll give her the idea that relocation might not be such a bad thing.

Hopefully. I know it sounds bad, what I said. And I recall when I told her how I was robbed twice, not far from our own house she said "but that's so weird that kind of stuff doesn't happen here!". As long as she cancels the cards then there's no harm done and good can come of this.

Mirc Dec 12, 2007, 01:18 PM The verb system in Romanian is WAY too complicated. :( I tried earlier today to explain the basis of it to a foreign friend of mine, and I was just unable to. It's simply too much to explain.
Look at how many forms you have to learn for EACH verb!!!

Infinitiv: a face
Gerunziu: facānd

That's why I say English is a simple language!! And you've got a lot more tenses in English!! Yet they are so un-flexible, while here virtually every form, tense, person, mode and number means you have to use a different word. :crazyeye:

jeps Dec 12, 2007, 05:50 PM In English , homonyms are the annoying thing.
To wound something around a wound, to have a row about how to row, bass vs bass (fish/drum), etc....
Also, the irregular verb forms.
v. To Be.
I will be.
You will be.
He/She Will be.
I am.
You are.
He/She is.
I was.
You were.
He/She was.
in french, barring irregular verbs (such as aller), you take the root of the word, and add a regular ending.
Parler (to speak)
Je parlerai
Tu parleras
Il/Ell parlera
Je parle
Tu parles
Il/Elle parle
Je parlais
Tu Parlais
Il/Elle Parlait
Notice how PARL is in every single one?
In hebrew, EVERY verb has a two-three letter root. No matter what tense it is, it will contain those letters in that order, as well as regular letters/vowels.
IE To hear is shin.mem.ayin. Sh.M.A.
To hear
Ani eshma
ata (you m.) tishma, at (you f.) tishm(silent a)i
Who (he) ishma, He (she) tishma
M.S. Present
Shomea
F.S. Present
Shoma'at
Ani Shamati
ata shamata at shamat
who shama he sham'a
Same thing as french, with ShMA in all of them.

Okay, my rant goes out to weather forecasters. I don't really blame them, I know it's a hard thing to do, okay? But come on, just admit and say "You know, it might be sunny, it might be cloudy, it might sleet, it might snow. We honestly just don't know what is going to happen because there are too many variables right now."
But hey, they damn sure know humans are causing the earth to warm, even if they don't know what the weather will be like tomorrow.
