So I got an external hard drive.

Well, my dad gave me one. It was used, but empty.

Unfortunately, it was formatted for a Mac.

And it showed up in various unimportant places when I plugged it into my PC.

Like the "safely remove hardware" thing and the Device Manager.

It didn't show up on Disk Manager or my Computer or any of that stuff, so I can't reformat it.

So there's no way I can do anything to it.

It's a 120GB hard drive with no pretty letters or insignia. It came with a CD but the system said the driver installed upon plugging-in.

So why is my computer not recognizing the fact that it's there fully? :cry:

I tried reformating it to a blank drive on a Mac computer, but it still won't be recognized.

Check the disk management under the computer management tool, and see if it needs to be formatted from there or assigned a drive letter.
