View Full Version : Poser texture question bigdog5994 Dec 03, 2007, 04:03 PM How do i get this image onto a shield? http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc308/bigdog5994/eye3-1.jpg Quinzy Dec 03, 2007, 04:14 PM Go to the materials lab and apply it as a texture map :) bigdog5994 Dec 03, 2007, 04:59 PM its still not working Sandris Dec 04, 2007, 06:27 AM What shield exactly you are using ? bigdog5994 Dec 04, 2007, 07:32 AM the buffalo warrior one http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=70328 Sandris Dec 04, 2007, 08:30 AM Try to use another shield. The Buffalo Shield does have some troubles with texture applying. Plotinus Dec 04, 2007, 08:44 AM Possible workaround: create a Square primitive, apply your image as a transparency, and then parent it to the front of the shield. If you stick it very close it might look as though the design is actually on the shield itself. This will only work against a flat surface though - if the shield is curved then the design will look like it's floating in front of it. egroen Dec 04, 2007, 10:11 AM Looks like that shield is curved :( bigdog5994 Dec 04, 2007, 01:41 PM plot do you have a flat shield? or know where i can get one? Plotinus Dec 04, 2007, 03:13 PM The easiest way to get a flat shield is to use a primitive - a squashed cylinder probably. That's how I made the shields for most of my units. It's easy to apply a texture to. I don't know if it would suit this unit but you can always try. bigdog5994 Dec 04, 2007, 03:19 PM how do i make a flat cylinder with poser? Quinzy Dec 04, 2007, 03:20 PM Poser->Props->Primitives Then squish it. bigdog5994 Dec 04, 2007, 04:03 PM ok how do i turn it into a prop Quinzy Dec 04, 2007, 04:06 PM It is a prop.
