I recently got an USB-flash drive, and decided to instal Firefox on it. The idea was to be able to access the internet everywhere with my own cookies/favourites/bookmarks in place. However, it seems that Firefox automatically places it's cookies on the hard drive, not on the flash drive. How can I easily change that? Alternatively, another decent free browser that is able to do this would be fine too.

1. There's actually a portable version of Firefox meant for USB drives. Cookies are stored on the USB drive by default

2. If it's a normal version of Firefox, add " -profilemanager" to the command line. Launch Firefox, create a new profile and select a custom profile location on the USB drive

you can also try the foxmarks extension, your bookmarks are saved to a passworded server. You can install the toolbar to manage everything automatically on your computers, and log into the foxmarks website when away. Won't store cookies or extensions though.
