Hey guys, I never used any "cheat" codes for Civ 4, but was wondering...is there any way to save a game, then "undo" Defensive Pacts/Vassal States, and reload?

I'm all set to run over Russia, when I notice Catherine has made defensive pacts with not one, but three of my neighbors! They would crush me if I went after her.

Another time, I was getting my revenge on Saladin, gearing up for conquest, when all of a sudden they become a vassal state of neighboring power Spain. That I was able to undo by pulling up an autosave & negotiating for Spain to stop their war with the Arabs (so I could kill 'em all!), but I can't figure how to loosen up those defensive pacts.

Any help appreciated, thanks!

I'm pretty sure you can go into world builder and change diplomacy settings. You can make them declare war on eachother too I think.

You can but you can't get them to undo defensive pacts, OB, etc. You can also turn civs who are 3x bigger and stronger then you to your own vassal :)

Thanks for the help! Actually, I saw the Ctrl-W option and tried it. You can get them to declare war on YOU, so the defensive pact doesn't bring the other countries into it. Never fiddled with world builder mid-game before, but to make this game fun, I had to do it.
