View Full Version : Germany vs. the World
kingfire87 Dec 09, 2007, 01:59 PM 2500 BC:
Arrows suddenly flew through the air, slicing the peace that the Iroquois nation had once enjoyed. In a frenzy of blood, arrows, spears, and chaos the first war in the history of the world began. The war pitted Chancellor Bismarck of Germany against King Hiawatha of the Iroqoois nation. After years and years of fighting, Germany crushed the puny Iroquois. So began the history of Germany, the greatest civilization of all time...
kingfire87 Dec 09, 2007, 02:20 PM Soon after the first war with Iroquois, the Germans began to colonize the world at which they had started, Africa. There were now five cities, which were Berlin, Leipzig, Hamburg, Konisberg, and Frankfurt.
Africa http://fixedreference.org/2006-Wikipedia-CD-Selection/images/21/2105.jpg
Germany had a grip on Africa. But now, a new civilization was met. It was China.
choxorn Dec 09, 2007, 04:12 PM Nice story, although I wish we could see exactly where Germany, Iros, and China are. :p
kingfire87 Dec 09, 2007, 04:49 PM Erm... thanks for the comment, I can write better than that, which is my next post. Anyway, I'd love to show you exactly where the civs are, but the problem is that when I try to upload the screenshot from "Paint," the computer says that the upload is prohibited. Well, I might as well tell you where the Iroquois, China, and Germany are. Germany is in southern Africa, Iroquois are in northern africa, and China is in east europe.
kingfire87 Dec 09, 2007, 05:00 PM Chapter One: War With the Iroquois
Atile Hosnia stealthily moved across the land with the rest of his regiment, steel swords gleaming as they quietly advanced on the Iroquois capital. Atile shivered with fear, even though he seemed to be perfectly confident. Atile was scared beause approximately 10,000 of Germany's finest troops had marched upon the same soil he had throughout the past five hundred years that this dreadful war had lasted. And each troop had in turn met their fate while attempting to attack the Iroquois capital, and kill Hiawatha (By the way, this is regicide victory, so killing Hiawatha means defeat for the Iroquois). For some odd reason, each time the superior German archers and swordsmen had attempted to take the city, the courageous spermen of the Iroquois had emerged triumphant. Oddly, the only defenses were meager fortifications that didn't match the perfected walls of the German capital. Atile was puzzled. But, his fear was greater. He feared that like his father, grandfather, and great-grandfahter, he would fight and die in this battle. He had little time to worry about that though, as the capital city was less than three miles away. Soon, the battle would begin.
Atile's heartbeat was now faster than ever. He knew that if he wasn't courageous, the enemy would take advantage of that and kill him. But, he couldn't stop his immeasurable fear. The army, which included archers, swordsmen, and a few hundred spearmen, was now only a mile away from the Iroquois city. The Iroquois were obviously aware of this, as spearmen lined the now somewhat visible streets. Candles flickered in windows, slightly illuminating the city. As the city drew ever closer, Atile found that a strange sensation was coming over him. His fear was becoming oer come with, could it be? yes, his fear was becoming overcome with courage. As the courage mounted, his confidence grew with it. Just as his peak courage and confidence was reached, an explosion of sound emanated from his right. It took him only a moment to realize that it was the newest edition to the German army, musicians. These newfangled instruments, called fifes and drums by their inventors, gave out orders to the troops by what music they played. The current instructions were to let out the war cries and begin the charge. The order was immediately obeyed. The German flag, which looked like the modern day French tri-color, fluttered in the air as the drums began to beat faster and the fifes began to play higher notes. And so, the chareg began...
killerkid Dec 09, 2007, 07:30 PM Try saving the screenshots ad a JPEG. (It usually save as a Bitmap)
ThERat Dec 09, 2007, 07:42 PM use irfanview, press 'print screen' and paste it there, then save as jpeg...no magic and much nicer for lurkers than mere text.
kingfire87 Dec 09, 2007, 08:16 PM Alright, thanks for the tip. I'll try to post tomorrow.
kingfire87 Dec 18, 2007, 03:57 PM Atile's adrenaline took over all of his body, his heart pumping as arrows flew the air, knocking holes in the enemy lines that would allow a quicker entry. There were very few archers in the Iroquois lines. Atile shouldered his way to the head of the pack and prepared to battle, his courage never wavering.
kingfire87 Dec 26, 2007, 05:15 PM Atile charged with the rest of his army, sword clattering against the armor of his comrades. Arrows and javelins flew through the air, slamming down upon the enemy spearmen as the Iroquois spearmen attempted to defend themselves with their shields. Then, the fateful moment occurred. The army of Germany slammed into the Iroquois. Swords and spears crushed against each other, and the battle soon stank of blood. Screams began to crop up and destruction ensued. The Iroquois were beginning to retreat, their lines wavering as the spearmen charged.
Quintillus Jan 06, 2008, 06:46 PM Nice start, but it's a cliffhanger. I'm guessing from the OP the Iroquois lose this battle, but what of China?
Have you tried uploading to Photobucket? They accept .bmp, .png, .jpg, and a few more.
kingfire87 Jan 06, 2008, 07:41 PM The Chinese come much later...
I don't intend it to be a cliffhanger, it's just that I get very little time to write... :mischief: I think I might be able to get screenies through "paint"... I'll convert to jpg.
bunny_lard Jan 17, 2008, 05:51 PM Pretty good on the writing part so far, although I, too, would be interested in the adition of more visuals. I understand you are having problems, but there are plenty of people around here that would gladly help you. I'll put in my two scents: export the edited screenshots out of paint as .JPG or .GIF. The rest of the allowed file types are displayed in the Easy Upload System when you are posting. Good luck with your game and your pics.
kingfire87 Jan 17, 2008, 06:10 PM Okay, let's see... alright. I'll try to load some visuals and update by this Sunday. I should be able to get some visuals...
bunny_lard Jan 17, 2008, 11:28 PM good. You know, with all these stories, I think I might be inspired to create one myself...That is if I can ever crawl out of this whole of simply epic newbieness that I'm in
Ryyrk Jan 20, 2008, 12:18 PM I'm with you there...
But, is it just me or is almost everybody here also at Conquest of the World?
Interesting story... can't wait to see more... and read more!
kingfire87 Jan 20, 2008, 01:55 PM Dang it. Sorry, but I tried converting to jpeg and jpg, but the computer still wouldn't take the screenshot. I'll try my best to describe it. The Iroquois capitol of Salamenca is at the very northern tip of Africa. I am in lower and middle Africa. The Iroquois have two cities, I have eight. The Chinese are in England and Spain (present day England and Spain).
kingfire87 Jan 25, 2008, 03:07 PM Yay, I got a screenshot to load. Here is the attack on Salamenca!

kingfire87 Jan 25, 2008, 05:38 PM Wrap it in IMG tags, not html tags. ;)
Ummm.... sorry, no idea how to do that. Oh well, I have screenies now.
I'll probably update soon. Tomorrow hopefully.
choxorn Jan 25, 2008, 05:48 PM Simple. You see this button at the top of your post-toolbox-thingy?
http://img401.imageshack.us/img401/6947/imgtagbuttonpd9.jpg
Just click that, and a window will pop up similar to the one that pops up when you click the Insert Link button. Just copy the url for the image into the pop up, and click OK. Poof! You have a picture that is wrapped in IMG tags for easier viewing.
kingfire87 Jan 25, 2008, 07:29 PM Ah, okay. I'll try it with my next screenie.
Aabraxan Jan 25, 2008, 07:32 PM Ummm.... sorry, no idea how to do that. . . .

If you want, "quote" this post, & you can see where I replaced "url" in your tags with "img."
Edit: Oops. Didn't see the next page. Now I see that Chox has pointed out the Img button.

Eh, it's not showing up in the quote. I tried to replace with "img," but it was just a tiny picture of a box with an 'x' in it. Oh well.
kingfire87 Jan 27, 2008, 06:40 AM Soon, the battle engulfed the entire mass of troops that had been sent. Swordsmen's blades clanged loudly on the shields of spearment. Bronze spears thumped dully as the experienced swordsmen easily turned the enemy's attacks back. ARrows soared through the air and fell upon the enemy lines. Although shields were brought up and the spearment were mostly undamaged, several arrows managed to get past the shields and injured or killed several men.
Atile scampered towards a spearmen who was obviously expecting him, fore he had his shield raised to his face and his spear was extended forward. Atile quickly looked around. A few of his enemy's comrades were standing near, but they were fiercely engaged in fights with swordsmen and archers who had reverted to their small knives. So, instead of charging his enemy, Atile attempted to circumvent him. He knew it wouldn't work. So, just as his enemy thought he had outsmarted Atile, he skidded to a halt, hurried the other way, and plunged his sword into the man's flesh. The spearmen fell back, gasping in pain as Atile drove the iron blade deeper and deeper. Finally, Atile withdrew the blade. But it was obvious that the man still could (and would) fight. So, Atile decapitated the man with one swift, punishing, and most importantly, fatal blow. For the first time in about twenty seconds, Atile observed his surroundings again. It was very much different. The enemies had retreated another 20 feet and were in decline.
After five minutes, Atile managed to reach the front of the lines. He could now retake his normal position in the front ranks. The men had now reached the town. The palace of Salamenca was now in sight, rising above the fighting. the men were now in the town, and buildings were beginning to burn.
After ten minutes of fighting enemies, Atile and the 3rd Mobile Army of Germany broke into the palace, where Hiawatha was...
A guard with a small spear attempted to stop Atile from passing, but Atile was an experienced fighter, so he dispatched the enemy with a blow to the stomach. As he climbed up a winding staircase towards Hiawatha's royal quarters, five elite Iroquois fighters were armed with... swords! Apparently, the Iroquois had managed to smuggle small quantities out of Konisberg. Or perhaps, there was a small deposit of iron in their territory. The leader of Germany, King Bismarck, knew for a fact from his advisors that there was no big deposit in Iroquois lands.
The guard swung his iron sword. Atile ducked quickly, so it missed, but it sliced through the ribs of the comrade that was right behind him. As the guard pulled his blade from the dying German, Atile seized the moment and sliced a leg off his elite opponent. Then, he thrust his blade into the heart. An easy kill. It appeared that his comrades were just as elite as the guards, fore they were dispatching enemies quickly and moving on. Soon, all the guards were dead, and the doors to Hiawatha's room were thrown open. HIawatha was standing right next to the door. He decapitated one of Atile's greatest friends who he had known for three years.
Atile was furious. With all the rage flowing through his body, Atile struck Hiawatha with his blade. The leader fell to the ground, bleeding. But, he did not struggle. Atile had struck the man's temple. He was dead.
It was now clear. Hiawatha was dead. So were the Iroquois.
choxorn Jan 27, 2008, 12:56 PM Now where's the message of the advisor saying, "Sir, we destroyed the Weak Iroquois", and the King saying, "I know, Mr. Anton, it was a piece of Cake."
kingfire87 Jan 27, 2008, 01:03 PM Wait, was that a joke, or are you saying, what happened to the sig? If you're referring to the sig, the signature was too long, so I had to replace that part.
choxorn Jan 27, 2008, 01:04 PM Both, actually.
But 3 cheers to the destruction of the Iros!
kingfire87 Feb 13, 2008, 05:27 PM Okay, I know in some stories, people like to get put in the story as a character.
So, if you want to be in the story, just post what you want your name to be and what position (general in the army, scientific guy, etc.) you want to be.
I'll try my best!
BTW: Here's a hint on the next chapter in the story:
Chapter Two: Meeting China
choxorn Feb 13, 2008, 07:16 PM Just call me Chaoxi, Mao's Military Advisor. :p
kingfire87 Feb 13, 2008, 07:24 PM Okay, Choxorn. Hehe, I have already finished this game, I'm just writing the story. I know what fate befalls you. :mischief:
Ryyrk Feb 14, 2008, 03:25 PM Lt. Col. Troath, CO First Brigade of Second Army
kingfire87 Feb 14, 2008, 04:08 PM Lt. Col. Troath, CO First Brigade of Second Army
Ummmm, is that my army, or China's?
Ryyrk Feb 14, 2008, 06:45 PM Your army... I want to at least have the chance to live until the end of the game!
And, the Unit should be: 14th Battalion of 7th Regiment of 1st Brigade of 2nd Army... If you ever go down that far...
Otherwise just bump the rank up the Brigadier Gen. And keep me where I'm at.
Your choice...
I Just Wanna Live!
choxorn Feb 14, 2008, 06:47 PM And I just wanna be an antagonist. :)
kingfire87 Feb 14, 2008, 08:10 PM BTW: I am King Leonidas.
Leonidas strolled into the enormous palace, towering over the rest of Beijing. The huge marble building was enormous, beautiful as its statues gleamed into the sunlight.
King Leonidas was accompanied by his various advisors. His domestic advisor, Reg Rikaya, strode confidently facing the others. His trade advisor, Viyan Crudabo, was cautious in the face of others. The military advisor, Otto Heinke, accompanied by one of his most experienced warriors, Lt. Col. Troath. Next to the two military-men was the foreign advisor, Karl Razu. Leonidas’s culture advisor was a strange woman. Terese Heub was striking, her African roots evident in her face. She had an odd tinge to her eyes. Finally, the science advisor, Horst Ulnerot brought up the rear. They confidently followed Leonidas into the palace to greet the newly discovered civilization of China.
Leonidas first approached the Emperor of china, Mao. After a series of greetings, Leonidas headed to the back of the room.
King Leonidas approached the only man dressed in casual clothing. "Hello," he said. "Who might you be?" The man replied: I am Chaoxi, military advisor to Mao, the great leader of China.
Leonidas bowed. “I see,” he said.
Leonidas then engaged in a series of deals that included trading science, money, and other goods. It seemed that China was nearly as mighty as Germany. This worried Leonidas, until he realized that he was among friends here. China was sophisticated and were not as savage in war as it seemed that the Iroquois were. After a long party that lasted all night, it seemed that the peace between China and Germany would last forever.
I've decided to give a hint at what is next through smileys. Smileys may hint at what is next. Feel free to speculate, but you may turn out to be completely wrong. I'll spoiler them just in case you don't want to see it.
:king: :shifty: :groucho: :sniper: [party] :salute: :ninja: :high5:  :trophy: :deal: :gold: :science:
choxorn Feb 14, 2008, 09:21 PM These smilies entail that a party will soon take place!
kingfire87 Feb 15, 2008, 06:19 AM These smilies entail that a party will soon take place!
Maybe... but there are other smilies too. Non-party ones: :sniper: :ninja: :deal: :commerce: :science: That could signal something else...

kingfire87 Mar 11, 2008, 07:55 PM I am just going to telll everyone that I still am on this story, so I haven't given up. I haven't really had time to update lately, but I will try to get a new one soon! :)
kingfire87 Apr 11, 2008, 06:19 AM Alright, I have a new update. Please note that I have added some stuff to the last update, so please check that. Half of the update is in the old one. That is why this one is so short.
But, the wonderful reign of King Leonidas had come to and end. The foreigner had come down to Germany from Europe, seeking refuge. But, he proved to be powerful and was an excellent ruler. He had ruled for many years, and had been one of the greatest Chancellors of all.
But, as he lay on his deathbed, Leonidas appointed a new Chancellor. His name was Frederick. Later in his life, he would come to be known as Frederick the Great. But for now, that story must wait…
Coming up:
:king::bowdown::help::gripe:
choxorn Apr 11, 2008, 09:45 AM Chaoxi want actual update!
kingfire87 Apr 11, 2008, 06:50 PM Okay, fine. I'll try to work for awhile and at least get 10 paragraphs or more. I'll also try to get some screenies.
Oh well, on the bright side, I actually have readers who want an update. ;)
kingfire87 Apr 14, 2008, 07:01 PM Sorry about double-posting here, but this pretty important.
I have a good update in the works. It is the story where Lt. Colonel Troath rises in rank after a very important barbarian battle. An "actual update" and has 3 or 4 screeenshots. I should have it done by this Wednesday or Thursday or Friday!
kingfire87 Apr 18, 2008, 04:31 PM I'll put more in this same post later, but here is a little for now to keep you happy. I will be putting more on this SAME POST. So keep checking.
Lt. Colonel Troath rode to the hill overlooking the base for his regiment.
Ever since Lt. Colonel Ryyr Troath had been promoted from Major to Lt. Colonel, King Frederick had made him the commander of a fine regiment that consisted of spearmen, archers, swordsmen, and even a few cavalrymen.
It was Ryyr Troath’s job to find any resisting barbarians and either pacify them, or destroy them. Ryyr was proud of this responsibility; it gave him a feel of great power. So, as he rode to the hilltop overlooking the field base, he rode with an air of commanding power. This was what he was meant to do.
But, as he got to the hilltop overlooking the base, a different site awaited him. The base was being sacked by rowdy barbarians! The few men that had been left in the city were fighting desperately, trying to hold back the advance. Worse, it hit Ryyr that there were women and children in the base!
Many women and children followed the regiment that their husband or father was in, cooking food for the troops and boosting their morale. But, they never actually did combat!
But, Ryyr could see that they were, grabbing whatever thing they could use to fight and desperately trying to save their and their comrades’ lives.
Ryyr’s troops were open-mouthed, shocked at this event. Ryyr knew that this was only twenty of his troops, but they were well-trained and besides, only 100 of the barbarians were in the city. There were already thirty seasoned troops in the city. Hopefully, the women and children could be sent back to the home base and the barbarians eventually driven out.
“Don’t just stand there!” yelled Ryyr. “Let’s fight!”
And with a war cry that shook the earth, Ryyr’s squad charged down the hill and into the fray…
choxorn Apr 18, 2008, 06:36 PM I assume "30" and "100" mean "3" and "10". ;)
kingfire87 Apr 18, 2008, 06:57 PM Actually, the base got sacked. This is turning a barbarian battle into a really interesting story.
The next part that is going to be edited into the post is how Troath seeks revenge...
choxorn Jun 01, 2008, 05:24 PM I thought you were going to put more in that post...
kingfire87 Jun 01, 2008, 05:37 PM Eeek, I'm not sure if I can continue this. :( I want to, but many ideas are running out, but the Aztec Glory ideas are not. I might try to put in updates, once in a while, but don't expect them often. I'm really sorry.:sad:
