Moved.

Tom Brady easily...though there are certain other quarterbacks who might be it if they win the Superbowl.

Sorry, i was going to have a poll but i hat a wrong key and my browser went back. i was going to have

Tom Brady
Randy Moss
Brett Favre
Tony Romo
Terrell Owens
LaDainian Tomlinson
Adrian Peterson
Brian Westbrook

Tom Brady will most likely get it, but i think its because of Randy Moss. Tom Brady has never had a season like this until Moss came. Moss has had lots of seasons like this without Tom Brady

my vote: Randy Moss

Tom Brady is on pace to break the TD and the yards record, his team is likely going undefeated, his quaterback rating is astronomical...

You can be physical and shut Moss down (see: Philly & Baltimore games) but you can not stop Brady.

This would be my order:

1. Tom Brady, QB, Patriots
2. Tony Romo, QB, Cowboys
3. Brett Favre, QB, Packers
4. Randy Moss, WR, Patriots
5. Adrian Peterson, RB, Vikings

my order:

1. Tom Brady (no one else is even remotely close).
2. Tony Romo (Key figure in Dallas' rise to NFC supremacy)
3. Peyton Manning (Don't matter who's injured in Indy, as long as Manning's out there, they've got a good shot)
4. Brett Favre (amazingly good at 38)
5. Brian Westbrook (most underappreciated RB in the league, IMHO. he does lead the league in yards from scrimmage though, and he's kept the Eagles in the hunt even though the QB's are performing sub-par)

I don't think it's a question that Tom Brady's been number 1 thus far into the season.

That's assuming he doesn't have any more good games, which he will.

Now I'm starting to think your serous, personally i think it was just luck. 2TDs and 224 yards against the 26th ranked pass defense... I don't even think he will have another game that good, but I'm not foolish enough to say he won't.

False. He will have great games...guranteed.

He could be a first-tier some time in the future...

But he will be overshadowed by Manning and my man Brady, going to take home a Super Bowl ring.

Don't care if the Pats cheated, Brady wins.

Todd Collins is 35 years old. His future was 15 years ago.

I'm not trying to suggest anything for Todd Collins here but Rich Gannon won an MVP award at 37, so being 35 doesn't automatically exclude anyone from the MVP race... ;)

On top of that, Favre is playing the best football that he had in years, other than the Dallas game. Favre is 38 (although some seem to believe he is 380, which would make him older than anyone alive, during the American Revolution). He hasn't won the MVP, but wow! Just wow! The man must have found the Fountain of Youth.

As I was saying... Age is a factor, but it isn't the only one.

Is that what you were trying to say?

I suppose what you'd have to ask is how much each person really adds to the team. Would an average quarterback do well with New England? Would Green Bay do well with an average quarterback?

I suppose what you'd have to ask is how much each person really adds to the team.

That is one of the possible interpretations of the rules for NFL MVP voting, but not the only possible interpretation.

Another possible interpretation is: "Who's the most valuable player because he's simply the best player in the league."

It's a combination of gaudy stats and performance of the team.

But Barry Sanders should have not had to share his MVP with Favre in 1997, and Manning should have been the sole MVP in 2003. McNair had a good year that year, but Manning's was better.

So if Brady has to share with Moss or Romo, you'll know my feeling on that ahead of time :p
