Hello,
I bought myself a new computer and reinstalled my Civ4s. The basic game and Warlords went fine like they did on my old computer, but Beyond the Sword is giving me a headache all of a sudden.
At the beginning of the installation it gives me a -5006:0x80070017 error. I've tried to lend the game to my friend and he has the same problem. I've also tried to copy the dvd to my computer and install it from there, but data1.cab won't copy. Earlier on the dvd worked fine and now I would like to know if the dvd is faulty as I suspect it is. And wether you guys would know where I should send the game to get a new one. Play.com where I bought it (which is abroad as I live in Finland) or 2K or where? Or could it be possible that the problem is somewhere else?
My new hardware is Amd Athlon Dual Core 2 5000+, 2GB RAM, Geforce 8600 GTS and Windows Vista.
My old hardware was AMD Duron 2200+, 1GB RAM, Radeon 9550 & Windows XP.
