name a civ, and time (with timezone please) i was thinking a little farther into the furture, people usually have plans for weekends...

How about sunday, december 23rd from about 10 AM (UTC+1) on?
Since people can join as we play, it shouldnt be a problem for Americans.

Any suggestions for the start date?

Alright, well if I'm not mistaken there's another space. So I'm in for Sunday.

I suggest 600AD too, last time I played 3000BC it was very slow in the beginning.
