Is there anywhere other than Game Flood where I can download Shadow? I'm having no end of trouble, and the withdrawal pains are becoming unbearable ;) I need Svartalfar!

No joy there, unfortunately. I've tried managed and unmanaged but get a script error every time it gets to "play". I've logged it with Game Flood, but I was just wondering if i had an alternative in the meantime.

If you try to DL the file via "the unmanaged way" you actually have to select the "Dowload via browser" option, not the "play" one :king:

I did also try "dl via browser", but bupkiss.

I've got an email waiting for from Nathan (GF_Nate at Game Flood). I think he's suggesting a way of resetting my preferences and downloading unmanaged. I'm at work at the mo, though, so have to try that out later.

I've got my brother coming round later for a new hotseat game, so I hope I can get the new version downloaded, or it'll be tears before bedtime!

Yup, that's me, i wish I could change my moniker here to reflect it. :)

If you have any problems with the download after you change your manager status, you may need to disable anything like ZoneAlarm or any popup blockers. I have been trying to recreate problems on IE6 and FireFox, and both have worked out well, but I am going to be testing more on IE7 today.

I've got Symantec AV and firewall, but I did manage to download the previous version through these (after a few attempts) so don't think they're the issue. It appears to perform the install alright, but gives a script error on Play. Looking at the folders, they have a couple of xml files and empty folder called incomplete. I just wish I could remember exactly what I did last time!

Most frustrating, and I'm supposed to be starting a new hotseat game tonight with my brother (the bugger beat me last time with that ridiculously powerful Ljosalfar economy, so I need vengeance).

It's not performing the install, it just thinks it is. Our download manager doesn't handle executable files.

GFGuy, not that many people look at it, but you can set your custom title to state your identity on Gameflood, might help some.
